There a couple of people who I really looked up to when I was a little bit younger even though they're not that much older than me, or even the same age as me, and I could never really figure out why, besides that they were ~so cool~ or whatever. And I realized, it's because they weren't ashamed to be who they were. Who I wanted to be would've been friends with them, but who I was pretending to be wasn't really, or at least not as well. But now I have no way to see them, and we've all changed so much anyway. I talk to some of them still, but I regret not knowing them better earlier, and I wish I could've been myself.
