Plo Koon’s updated model comparison in Season 3

Design-wise, Luminara was interesting because the live-action costume is made up of many layers of draped cloth. And that would be, just a very difficult thing to pull off, because cloth is one of those very render-intensive things. So the designer Thang Le had to come up with a way to keep the feel of the Luminara outfit but make it much simpler: cut down the layers of cloth and figure out a way to keep the shape very simple and graphic, which he did by stripping down the top section to just a shawl, a headdress and a skirt with a tabard in front.

The Senate Commandos that we have wear clone armour that's painted blue because we didn't have at that time a lot of modelling ability for every episode. So we reuse the body armour, leg armour. We added a big scarab-like shell to the side of the Commando to give him a different look. And they got their classic helmet from The Phantom Menace, the big blue helmet.

Mastiff phalones were a non-sentient species of avian quadrupeds that were native to the savannas of Maridun. As carnivores, they were dangerous predators.

The Corona-class armed frigate, also known as the pirate saucer mothership, was a large saucer-shaped combat frigate model used by the Ohnaka Gang of Florrum.
The sound and rotation of the Weequay priate ship is very evocative of oldstyle 1950s ideas of UFOs, like those seen in Earth Versus the Flying Saucers. Retro-saucer ships have been part of the prequen concept art since Episode I – either as Trade Federation craft or most recently as Alderaanian vessels – but have not made it to the screen until now.
