harry is very aware of the age gap and refuses to be overbearing about it

instead of telling you what to do, he'll quietly stand by, hand on your back, making sure you're okay in a setting that isn't familiar to you

if anything, your boyfriend checks in more emotionally than physically; always asking "you okay, love?"

harry knows people might judge the age gap, so he makes it clear that you're equals

in public and in private he treats you like a partner, like you're in this together; not like you're some kid he's supervising

your boyfriend loves to spoil you

not just with expensive gifts but in being attentive

when you run out of your favorite lip gloss he notices and replaces it

you knew waking up before harry was a mistake, but your craving for an iced vanilla latte was too strong to ignore. as you stir the creamer into your drink, you feel two strong arms wrap around your waist before the slight itch of his stubble grazes your cheek

"morning, love" you hear him croak out, his morning voice still very there, still very hot

dating a man who is 10 years older than you definitely seemed like something to be scared of at first, but c'mon, it's harry.

there were the silly things about it like not knowing a band he's a fan of, not knowing movie references, but it created sweet opportunities

your date nights were sometimes spent with him introducing you to media you weren't familiar with - and you loved it

meeting his friends was an idea you were very intimidated by. you hadn't turned 21 yet so the idea of going to a bar with his friends seemed like a humiliation ritual waiting to happen

lazy mornings with him were something you both absolutely adored

the first time you went out with harry you were a bit nervous

not because he was taking you to a bar and you were scared they would ask for your ID, but because harry made you feel like no other guy your age had

luckily, the bartender didn't ask for your ID maybe because you were with harry

a beer in, you were feeling a lot more comfortable around him, cheeks pink from the alcohol, and butterflies flying in your tummy

harry was very easy to talk to - you didn't think he would be

there was a retro jukebox in the bar, playing some song by the cure that he told you was called 'just like heaven'

you'd never heard the song before, and after intently listening to the lyrics, you realized why robert smith had written it

harry knew all of the words to the song - naturally, you thought

the bar was closing soon but you didn't want the night to end - hoping he would never finish his beer so you could talk for just a bit longer

he was the right amount of touchy, not too much, not too little

his arm rested on the back of your chair and every now and then he'd rub small circles on your arm as you spoke

you still remember the night you really learned about harry

it was late at night, you grew tired of doom scrolling on your phone, and one thing led to another - you were stalking him on the internet

“Harry! Stop, it tickles!” I hear your giggle hit my ears as I continue pressing kisses to your jaw and neck, my hands wrapped around your waist to keep you from getting away from me. Apparently, my mustache tickles every time it grazes your skin - but I'm convinced you like it. I eventually peck your lips with a lingering kiss, our mouths tasting like whatever red wine I opened. I can tell you’re getting a bit tipsy just by looking at you.

I've decided to whisk you away to my house in Italy for a bit of privacy and overall a good time for the both of us. We've spent the past few days tan, sprinkled with freckles from the sun, salty kisses, smelling like the ocean, and bellies full of authentic pasta. What more could I want?

You and I have been dating for around 8 months give or take - best 8 months of my life i'll add. You would think that our 10 year age gap would be a bit of an obstacle, with you being 21 and me being in my early thirties, but it really isn't. Maybe we're just stuck in the honeymoon phase - yet i'm not complaining. Sure, we have the occasional disagreement, however I always smooth it over with soft kisses and sweet words. I chuckle lowly before letting my fingers lightly graze over the skin right under your jaw "You sure you aren't starting to feel a bit warm, sweetheart?" You begin to press kisses along my jaw, and I'd be lying if I said it didn't do something to me. I hum , my grip around your waist slightly tightening as I feel you press a few kisses to my face. "You keep doin' that and I just might lose control here, love." I say, my voice coming out a bit deeper. My mouth slowly moves to your neck, gently grazing a few light kisses there "Y'know how I get when you tease me babe." "I'm drunk" You finally admit - more to yourself more like.

"Mhm, I can tell you're drunk, baby. Can see it in your eyes, hear it in your voice. I can even smell it on your pretty little breath, love." I say, chuckling a bit. I gently start trailing kisses down your neck, my hands gently rubbing up and down your waist. "It's okay though, you're cute when you're drunk, all clingy and giggly. My favorite sight." being with harry, especially in the late hours of the night was a bit hard

you couldn't leave him alone! not that he'd complain of course

it was odd how quick the switch could flip

you'd get out of the shower, change into your tiny barely there pajamas that consisted of a cute lace cami with shorts (that seemed to be almost underwear) and a pink lace pair of panties

and suddenly you were straddling his lap, face smushed in the crook of his neck

sometimes it was while he was doing some work on his laptop like responding to emails or whatever it was that he did

you never really paid attention, too focused on him

his smell, the feeling of his muscles underneath you, and his strong hands as they rubbed small circles into your back or played with your hair

you were like a purring cat in harry's lap
