Riverdale Observations

So I caved and watched the first 3 episodes... I liked it for the most part. Now in the interest of full disclosure... I grew up with the original Archie comics so that has influenced some of my opinions and I don't normally watch TV 1) love Jughead.... need more Jughead. (Don't know who this Sprouse guy is but he makes me laugh) 2) love Josie & the Pussycats... I want the song from episode 3 released on iTunes 3) love Kevin.... makes me laugh 4) don't like Archie being a jerk. Right now I ship Larchie... Archie & his left hand.... jerk doesn't deserve anyone else 5) hate that they are using an illegal relationship as a plot device (Archie is a sophomore in HS... Grundy should be in jail) don't think that should be used for entertainment purposes 6) mixed feelings on Betty.... thought she forgave Veronica & Archie too fast.... didn't like the "get even" scene. What she did...drugging him & turning up the temperature in the hot tub... is illegal and should not be used for entertainment purposes. 7) mixed feelings on Veronica... considering she knew how Betty felt about Archie... thought it was a pretty crappy thing to do. Loved that she flat out said that she & Betty are a pair. As of right now... I plan to continue watching to see what they have planned for Jughead. I'm hoping I connect more with the other characters as the season rolls on....

Checking out all these different posts makes me realize how old I really am. Hell, I'm so old, dirt calls me ma'am. Hahaha. Old people humor. It's easier to laugh if you take your teeth out. That's more of people humor. I'm kidding. I have all my teeth. I crack myself up, which is good because I might be the only one laughing. I just realized... what if someone reads this sh*t? Oh well, I'll live dangerously and post it anyway.

You’re getting old when...

OK, this could be for anyone of any age, but a good reminder for those getting up there in years.

I go to the gym today to work out legs. A few warm-up sets of leg presses before really getting into it. I felt good after the first set of really heavy weight, and got ready to do set 2. Something doesn’t feel right in my right quad on the first rep. Even after dialing the weight down a little bit, I still feel a twinge in my upper thigh. Change of plans, then—chest day instead of legs. I’m trying to listen more to my body versus what I want to do and adjust accordingly. 

Fortunately nothing seems hurt in the long-term, but it was a great reminder that a little extra warm-up is better than going heavy quickly. 

And for anyone that has access to it, phototherapy is a great way to help bounce back from an error like that. I applied a phototherapy patch to my leg and it feel so much better. Still, I plan on waiting a few days before attacking legs again.
