                               Through gritted teeth, Peeta pushed himself up with one handagainst the messy rock of the road and wobbles himself up to his feet as best as he could. Living with a false limb, in the early days anyway, was a lot harderthan one may imagine and as long as Peeta kept struggling and doing this on hisown he wasn’t convinced it would get any better. Now that he’s up, he clutchedtightly against a half broken fence at his side, trying to keep some kind of balance,eyeing the cane which had fallen to the ground not too far from him. 

      “I’m fine.              I’ll be fine.”

                      Many who saw Peeta would never imagine him being around, or spending time with someone like Gale. He’d have never even thought it himself, he only really knew Gale by name for the longest time, seeing him around the District, school and the such but they were never really in the same section of anything since Peeta worked in his family bakery, leaving him with little spare time and he never travelled to the seam. But here they were, sat together, although with faint awkwardness in the air, or something that felt similar. “So, you hunt, right? What is it like, out there outside the fence?”

She nodded. “You’re telling me, I’m a former peacekeeper. I am glad I got to keep my Ballista rifle and my strikestick when I defected. Those are the two I can’t live without, the side arm I can live without.”

She leaned against the wall with a small smile. It was only a matter of time before district 13′s command would let her loose and she had a list of people she was going to target, from the two req operators who ignored her squads pleas for reqs to be dropped off in that one mission that almost wiped them out in the North of Panem, up to the top generals of the peacekeeping command.

Something I like about how I write?Details? I like writing details about things. Feelings. Totally immersing myself into a thread and becoming the character for a little bit. So yes, attention to detail I guess :P Something about your character that you’d like if you had to spend time with them?“had to” spend time with them... like that’s a bad thing. His face. Nah but idk I feel like I could just chat with him? Or not even talk. And the fact that that’s something that can happen -- just not talk. I like not talking.
