//repost to clean up image quality//🌿🌱🌿 Solitude is the thing the lonely children know, at first as an unwelcome companion, but later as a benevolent strength. Solitude takes us by the hand, shows us secret places, brings us to a broad space wherein we can breathe and create. New worlds form as we begin to better understand our own by being at last truly part of it. From long hours resting in the arms of nature, owing nothing to anyone, and being given endless inspiration and joy with nothing asked in return besides our enjoyment: we begin to understand the essence of true, unconditional love. 🌱 Through solitude we discover that we are never truly alone, if we are looking closely! 🌿 Today is international #selfportraitday ! I don’t have any actual self portrait to post, but today’s painting is loosely based on me. We’re our own cheapest and best models! This boy has a fairy like quality, as he is based on an old black and white photo of the late 19th or early 20th centuries. This vintage photo, presumably taken in France, was used as a greeting postcard on the occasion of April 1. And I thought it would be fun to paint this boy with plump cheeks in

“Fort San Pedro”
Fort San Pedro is one of the historical sites here in Cebu City, Philippines.
As I looked into my photo gallery on my iPad mini, I found a picture which caught my attention and that's Fort San Pedro. So I decided to draw it on a Sketch Paper with the use of Pigma Pens and Brush Pen. I'm glad that my efforts paid off. It took me about two weeks to finish the work due to the intricacies of the structure of the Fort.
