It's been a little over a week and Jackson misses his "big brother". Riley was always a little easier to pose with books but my remaining #oldmandog Jackson tolerates me okay. #OnceThereWereWolves is a beautifully written book that will make you chew on its poetic prose while tackling hard issues like domestic violence and climate change. Inti's mirror-touch synesthesia made her empathetic in the extreme and while she was sometimes an unreliable narrator you never doubted her passion and protectiveness of both the wolves and her twin sister Aggie.
