They're the exact same shape and yet the ways you alter it (pinkie pie having some wacky proportions, rd being largely square (and AJ being pretty boxy too), twilight being kind of spindly, it all conveys their character so well. masterclass in character design

i love MLP and the flash-puppet character designs definitely meant the staff had an easier time since there were predefined bases but damn does it rob the show of body diversity! it's why any time theres a new body type on a pony i go :OOO!!!

The specific context here is you do not make the premeditated decision to remove the skin you just eat it. Imagine biting an apple but the first texture you get is hair. unless you're telling me you peel apples before eating them whole

Miiight not be what you're looking for but when i was a kid and getting into plushies i got a book called Stuffed Animals: From Concept to Construction by Abigail Patten Glassenburg and I thought it was pretty informative + still have it. It's on Archive.org and I'd be happy to send you a direct link if you want! If goes over basic construction/design techniques and the Whys behind those things
