Ran into a dear old friend from our Tokyo expat days in the early 2000s, Dr. Misato Adachi. She was introduced to us by my father's former professor at UCSF, when he found out we were moving to Tokyo. She was the last generation of recipients of the prestigious Shaffer Society Fellowship in Glaucoma (my father was a Shaffer Fellow back in 1963.) And this Instagram was also supposed to double as a food post from this 85-year old and 3-generation sushi restaurant 虎ノ門蛇の目鮨 (Toranomon.) I only remembered too late for the first course, then forgot the 2nd and 3rd sushi course due to the exciting conversation and catching up. So try to squint really hard and look at my tummy and imagine great sushi swimming in there! #虎ノ門蛇の目鮨 #sushi #oldsushiya #rmksummer2017 #rmktokyo201709 (at 虎ノ門蛇の目寿司)
