“Out of marshmallows?” Rori echoed dramatically, obviously upset by the news. “That’s got to be some sort of sick joke. It’s just a sick joke, right?”

Silas busied himself with pulling out his pack of cigarettes and sliding a single one out. He placed it between his lips before then retrieving his lighter from his pocket, switching it out for the pack almost seamlessly. He proceeded to ignite the end of the cigarette and inhaled. He thought he was off to the side of the gathering of demigods at the spring bonfire, and he had enough distance between him and the majority of the people that the smoke wouldn’t bother anybody, but who knew? As someone walked up, Silas knocked some ash off and began speaking. “No, you can’t have one,” He told them, a cold expression on his face. “I’m not even supposed to be smoking at this thing, let alone two people, got it? So, just pretend I’m not even here, okay?”
Azalea stood alone by the snacks table and slipped another tiny pretzel into her mouth. She looked around, mostly watching the other campers at the spring bonfire. She ate the last pretzel in her hand and had to admit she was getting thirsty. Her eyes found their way over to the bowl of punch and she began debating on pouring herself a drink or not. “—Will you taste the punch for me and tell me if it’s spiked or not?” She asked the person who had walked up next to her with all of her usual politeness and sweet soft voice.
