If you’re feeling dead inside tonight, Fancy Feelings will breath new life into you with a glitzy glam disco jam named Alive! So who is Fancy Feelings? It’s a team up involving Animal Feelings, aka High High’s Oli Chang, and Brooklyn psych rock project Fancy Colors. Fancy indeed is this union, who’ve even recruited singer songwriter and actress Anya Marina for a sweet sexy turn on the groovalicious tune. Alive is the latest in a string of whimsical disco-pop records recorded and released by Oli Chang, Zach Colwell, and Anya Marina under their Fancy Feelings name. A heaping serving of flirtatious pan-flutes, sizzling sax, frisky synths, and au natural drums combine for a dizzying, dance-inducing frolic in the style of Daft Punk or Tiger & Woods. The trio is gearing up to release a debut EP in early spring, alongside a remix from UK-based dance producer Draper, as well as a collaboration with LA cult-pop sensation William Bolton.
