Back in December 2010, Marina (and the Diamonds) was photographed by JUCO for Japanese culture magazine Tokion Factory!

All of the colorful looks were styled by JAK. Makeup by Amy Chance and hair by John Blanie.

The first set of photos see Marina donning a beautifully crafted intricate sequin mini dress with Christmas sweater-themed motifs from Ashish's Fall/Winter 2009 runway show.

The black feather and gold chain bracelet, she wears on her right wrist, is by Candace Ang.

For her second look, Marina wore a purple sheer chiffon blouse with ruffled details, and pleated and gathered mini skirt seen in OLIMA's Fall/Winter 2010 debut colleciton!

Los Angeles-based iconic milliner Gladys Tamez Millinery created Marina's green felt hair beret...

...while Jimmy Choo is the mastermind behind these sexy Magnum yellow python and mesh sandals.

Next up, Marina poses in a black satin dress which she crowned with a golden metal spike visor from Ella Zahlan's "Michael Jackson" collection!

The Greek-Welsh beauty also wore a golden fringe necklace by Iosselliani, similar pictured to the one above!

Marina stuns in a black velvet mini dress with glass crosses all over from iconic designer Jeremy Scott's Fall/Winter 2010 collection which she paired with a Gladys Tamez Millinery Fall/Winter 2010 feather fascinator.

For the penultimate look, Marina takes a stance in Brian Lichtenberg faux denim print bodysuit with padded shoulders. Brian's designs are also loved by other singers like Lady Gaga, Beyoncé and Katy Perry.

Her mustard-yellow high-waisted pants from emerging designer Katie Ermilio's 2009 debut collection!

I love mismatched earrings and Marina's definitely fit the bill here!

She paired a single long chain fringe earring by Iosselliani with a white spike drop earring by former jewerly brand Kites & Metal.

Marina completed her colorful look with these Ashish Spring/Summer 2010 metallic gold leather woven platform wedges!

For the final look, Marina is sporting a bodysuit version of this Falguni Shane Peacock Fall/Winter 2010 runway look which was worn with OLIMA Fall/Winter 2010 black wool pleated mini skirt.

Marina's fringe metal necklace with star-shaped crystals on top is yet another beauty signed by Iosselliani!

Lastly, she re-wore her Candace Ang feather bracelet and multiple rings by Han Cholo including his sterling silver snake ring with red stone in the center ($270.00).

FASHION CREDITS: THE MONSTER BALL TOUR 1.0

Described by Lady Gaga as "the first-ever 'pop electro opera'", Gaga kicked off the Monster Ball Tour at the Bell Centre in Montreal on November 27, 2009, four days after the release of her second album “The Fame Monster”. Everyone was eager to see what Nicola Formichetti and his team had created for this show and they weren’t disappointed.

These are the fashion credits for the theatre version of the show, which went from November 2009 - February 2010.

Act I — Birth

The show opened with “Dance in the Dark”, with Gaga taking the stage in a beige Swarovski crystal-embellished cut-out detail jumpsuit with tulle-filled shoulder pads by Zaldy that had lighting bulbs installed.

The laser grid masks, as worn by the dancers, were first created by Tom Talmon Studio for Michael Jackson's “This Is It” tour but were scrapped after the death of Jackson.

The dancer’s balaclavas, jumpsuits and Gaga’s crystal eye mask are all Zaldy creations.

Act II — Desert

Formichetti commissioned Olima to create a beige pleather bone look inspired by Gary Card’s ecto-skeleton wear (the lights were installed by Tom Talmon Studio).

Olima told me he “was still very much fascinated by the detail of the shoulders I had given the black cape so I decided to use a similar one on this jacket dress and just mold the strips into ribs and a spine on a sculpted bodice”.

She combined the look with vintage Jean Paul Gaultier silver 56-8171 sunglasses.

Zaldy collaborated with interdisciplinary 3D design firm, Conduit Inc. to design and produce the rubber exoskeletal bodice. 

The outfit was completed with crystals on the ribs, shoulder piece and the pelvis piece. A structured silver Swarovski bodysuit and a pair of matching caged ankle boots was also created by Zaldy's team.

For a few 2010 shows Gaga decided to use runway looks from Spring/Summer 2010 collections.

In Detroit she used the white Maison Margiela sleeveless belted leather jacket we’ve seen her in.

During her Radio City Music Hall shows she re-emerged on stage rocking a white semi-sheer silicone dress with black floral lace overlay from Rachael Barrett’s “Silence we scream” MA collection.

Gary Card put some matching black lace overlay on his skeletal pieces for this look.

For this creation, Olima explained to me that Gaga wanted “something glittery and metallic with a similar feel as the bone piece I had previously created for her. I used actual glitter which believe it or not I have never worked with. The whole project was completely organic, I didn’t do a sketch nor did I plan out what I was doing, I just had a feeling in mind which was Ice Queen for the silver piece. I collaborated with Franc Fernandez on this look. He is an amazing individual to work with”.

Fernandez fabricated the headpiece from stiffened material that fits around the face and embellished it with silver sequins and rhinestones. Additional elastic band secures the piece to the head.

This dress was used during her show at Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami, Florida on New Year’s eve.

Olima wanted to make the purple glitter look chic so he “decided to leave it up to the stars and go for a constellation type feel with the detailing. I managed to finish everything within a matter of 2 days but I couldn’t do it without the help of my amazing team”.

Act III — Forest

For the “Forest” part, Gaga wore a goat fur jacket and skirt that was made by Zaldy in collaboration with Miguel Villalobos who sculpted the three animal faces in leather that were later added. 

He made two owls on each shoulder and a wolf near the abdomen.

Her shades are the i'dentity LL-2F, black spectacles by Oliver Peoples, one of her first accessories to wear at the beginning of her career and an original 1986 design made for Andy Warhol.

Olima explained to me that “This time I felt I had more time so it was definitely an opportunity for me to create something more intricate. I started with the black vinyl strip cape that was completely inspired by the Lady herself…” “… I noticed the cape caught light beautifully so in my head hundreds of strips would catch a million more lights. The cape took me about a week to create and I was designing it in my head as I was making it”.

Her black textured leather bodysuit was made by Zaldy.

Hair stylist Saint Peter D’Vil made Gaga’s monster hair shades in collaboration with Olima.

Olima also created the insane monster claw-shaped chinpiece.

Ther ruffled tulle shoulder piece, she wore during the acoustic part of the show, by Keko Hainswheeler...

...who also did this studded cage headpiece she sometimes donned on stage.

Act IV — Egypt

This Egypt-inspired look is signed by Zaldy as well, who worked with leather artist David Samuel Menkes, and included a gold metal studded cut-out bodysuit with matching Anubis-inspired helmet, spiked gold cuffs and a pair of gladiator sandals.

Act V — City

For the “City” chapter of the show, Gaga entered the stage in a custom Zaldy red latex and crystal rope bra (who also did the red crystal eye patches), red latex Lady P briefs by Atsuko Kudo...

....and matching captain’s hat, made in collaboration with young designer Geoffrey Mac and leather artisan David Samuel Menkes.

She completed her look with the Penthouse Savannah lace-up corset vinyl boots.

The custom Zaldy leather gun jumpsuit is practically a harness made of straps covered in black crystal cabochons. An arm armor was also made with a gun on it to be worn on Gaga's right arm.

The matching gun helmet was created by Miguel Villalobos. The outfit was worn with an Atsuko Kudo bra and panty made of black latex underneath.

For ‘Paparazzi’ Gagaloo opted for a custom black vinyl cape by Olima.

Oscar revealed to me that he was inspired by gothic 19th century horror and “wanted to keep within the Bad Romance theme implementing unorthodox sewing details around the collar and used a familiar texture to give a true horror finesse”.

As you can see, Gaga wore multiple pair of sunglasses with this look depending on her mood...

The first pair are the Y-Not shades in black by Oliver Goldsmith which date way back to 1966.

Next: the Alpina Goldwing shield sunglasses she got at Jack’s Eyewear store in LA.

Finally, a pair of vintage Chanel Fall/Winter 1992 shield sunglasses with elongated leather interwoven gold-tone chain.

Gaga changed outfits for “Paparazzi” but still remained with the glossy theme.

Changing from vinyl to latex, she wore a black version of the Atsuko Kudo Elizabethan puff-sleeve blouse she donned when meeting the queen. Detroit saw a blue version of the same latex blouse!

Her Betty latex knickers are by the Japanese luxury fetishwear designer as well.

Act VI — Monster Ball

The final hunchback looks are all created by Zaldy and Muto-Little Costumes .

Zaldy created a white suit version and a disco ball-inspired mirror jacket with matching silver bodysuit featuring mirrored cone bra cups.

The Haus also customized an Atsuko Kudo 50s cup latex bra with rhinestones.

BACK IN TIME: LADY GAGA ON OPRAH WINFREY SHOW

Back in January 2010 Lady Gaga made a special appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show where she not only talked about her album and success, but also treated her fans with a special medley performance! 

She was styled by Nicola Formichetti for the occasion, who only pulled young, emerging designers.

For the interview, Gaga wears a one-shouldered sequin jumpsuit custom-made for her by PETROU\MAN.

We talked about another one of his bespoke designs he created for our girl just the other day.

She completed the look with a customized shorter version of Pleaser’s Seduce-3000 white vinyl stiletto boots.

Then Gaga performed a medley of her „The Fame Monster“ album songs, wearing a custom OLIMA fierce one-shoulder studded leather dress. Oscar Olima told me back then „I thought if Lady Gaga is doing punk, she has to do it over the top and to the extreme because punk isn‘t about being subtle. The dress is made from a variety of studs not just one kind to keep the look more authentic.“ 

The robotic studded metal leg brace to complement the dress was constructed by fashion stylist Love Bailey exclusively for our girl.

She accessorized the punk look with another pair from her large eyewear collection – the GFF 101 round gold vintage 1980s beauties by Gianfranco Ferrè from Jack’s Eyewear store in LA.

The Haus of Gaga created her half palm leather gloves and Zaldy the golden morning star weapon mic attachment.

BACK IN TIME: AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS 2009

Our girl never fails to impress. And we love her for that.

Lady Gaga attended the American Music Awards held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on November 22, 2009 where she performed “Bad Romance” and “Speechless” on a burning piano.

Even though she skipped the red carpet, stylist Nicola Formichetti made sure to treat the fans with three looks that night. Her makeup was done by Billy B.

The flesh-colored strappy bodysuit was created by Muto-Little Costumes and Alex Noble did the elastic strappy garters (seen in red) while Mr. Magic Hands behind all the bone wonders, every monster would be proud to wear, is Gary Card.

Gary’s creations were featured in Vogue Homme Bondage Warriors editorial, styled by our one and only Nicola Formichetti.

Tom Talmon Studio further worked on the ecto-skeletal pieces and installed small light bulbs inside to give them their own life.

We can also spot a nude 50s cup latex bra by Atsuko Kudo underneath and customized nude Pleaser Seduce 1020 booties.

Mother Monster’s first outfit change of the night.

She’s rocking an all-black ensemble which comprised one of the long train beauties with attached chain, deep-plunging neck, stand-up shoulders and puffy balloon skirt from Maison Margiela’s Spring/Summer 2010 collection.

Her black wool gabardine tuxedo jacket with satin panel is vintage Dior Spring/Summer 2007 “We Look Good Together” menswear by Hedi Slimane.

The shades are vintage Jean Paul Gaultier 56-8171 sunglasses in black.

She completed the look with a latex fetish cap and the Pleaser Delight-3002 thigh-high black stretch lycra platform boots.

The black vinyl coat, Gaga wore in the audience and backstage, is by Oscar Olima — the man behind the OLIMA brand.

He was inspired by Gothic 19th century horror and “wanted to keep within the Bad Romance theme implementing unorthodox sewing details around the collar and used a familiar texture to give a true horror finesse”.

Fierce thigh-high buckled pointed-toe 408-Nadia boots in black vinyl by Ellie completed the final look of the night.

BACK IN TIME: LADY GAGA WEARS OLIMA F/W10 TO CONSUMER ELECTRONICS SHOW

On January 7, 2010 Lady Gaga attended the Consumer Electronics Show held at the Convention Center in Las Vegas as Polaroid’s newest Creative Director before attending a press conference to talk about her and Dr. Dre’s collaborative “HeartBeats” headphones.

Nicola Formichetti was in charge for the styling and, oh boy, to this day I can’t get over this look!

Mother Monster donned a design from OLIMA’s Fall/Winter 2010 collection to complement her straw hat-shaped hair.

The delicate black lace dress features padded shoulders, long ruched sleeves, and a silk underlayer.

Her sun straw hat made of real human hair was custom-made by hair stylists Shinji Konishi and Asami Nemoto in collaboration with creative director Nagi Noda.

L.O.V.E.!

The shades are vintage Jean Paul Gaultier 56-8171 sunglasses in black.

She also donned the Saint Laurent black patent leather Tribtoo platform pumps with round toe.

FASHION CREDITS: “TELEPHONE” MUSIC VIDEO

Lady Gaga released the music video for the second single of ‘The Fame Monster’ EP - ‘Telephone’ ft. Beyoncé on March 11, 2010 via Vevo.

The video, which is a continuation of the “Paparazzi” video, was directed once again by Jonas Åkerlund and styled by Nicola Formichetti. Hair by Danilo Dixon and makeup by Billy B.

Entering the County Jail, escolted by a couple of guards, Lady Gaga wore this ultra fierce black and white striped vinyl leather body-adoring one-off prisoner dress created exclusively for her by iconic French designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. 

Her oh-so-fabulous Cat Ear sculpted black and matte anthracite sunglasses are by Mercura NYC while her half leather gloves in various colors throughout the video were made by Perry Meek. 

The black patent below-the-ankle booties are custom Pleaser Seduce-1020.

For the prison backyard scene, LG changes into a fun look made by Viktor & Rolf for her. 

It comprises a dark grey leopard jersey jumpsuit with a studded bodice based on the Fall/Winter 2010 collection and chunky body chain with charms in the shapes of hearts, swords and keys from the Spring/Summer 2002 runway. 

“Lady Gaga asked us to design a prisoner’s outfit. This is how we imagined Gaga if she was incarcerated. It is styled with a huge pile of exaggerated metal chain necklaces.” 

Haus of Gaga made her half smoked cigarette sunglasses and also covered Pleaser boots in chunky white plaster.

In the next scene, which merges together with the first dance scene, Gaga witnesses a prison fight with her sister Natali making a cameo right by her side. 

The singer dons a fierce look with its main piece, besides the diet coke cans in her hair of course, being the vintage Leather King jacket customized with studs and patches by Chris Maxwell.

Gaga bought this piece at Search & Destroy - a vintage shop in London. Her studded knee pads, gloves and underwear are all Perry Meek.

These iconic tortoiseshell comb shades with gold logo detail belong to Chanel’s Fall/Winter 1994 collection and are ultra rare to find. Gaga got hers from Jack’s Eyewear. 

Her Michael Rodent skull sterling silver ring is by The Great Frog. 

She also pinned some “The Fame Monster” badges from her own merchandise to the lapel of her leather jacket.

Another popular look goes to this one by Brian Lichtenberg. He made this just for the video, inspired by crime scene tapes. Her outfit reads “Crime Scene - Do Not Cross!”

Gaga finally gets bailed out by Beyoncé. She slips into a vintage Mugler Fall/Winter 1997 "Les Chimères” Haute Couture outfit comprising a black velvet bolero crop jacket, satin button-up bustier and cotton pencil skirt.

Philip Treacy made the big sculptural felt hat for the Mugler Fall/Winter 1995 collection..

The shades are vintage Jean Paul Gaultier 56-8171 sunglasses in black.

Gaga meanwhile breaks it down in the kitchen of the diner in a bespoke Rachael Barrett silicone dress featuring exaggerated shoulders, a wrapped front, fitted waist and a matching clear PVC belt.

All of the kitchen boys are wearing bespoke looks by Jenny Araskog.

She also wore white half palm gloves by Perry Meek. Designer Fred Butler created her blue telephone hat and also made a black version she wore to her Jonathan Ross interview later that year.

Loooove how Danilo created the telephone out of hair.

The singer also wore the matching Alpine Snow matte nail lacquer by OPI.

Next, Gaga poses and dances infront of the Pussy Wagon, rocking a full leopard printed Haus of Gaga x Muto-Little Costumes hooded catsuit with built-in skeleton bones, matching officer hat, gloves and platform boots. This outfit was also used for “The Monster Ball” tour later a few times.

For the final scene Lady Gaga, Beyoncé and all the dancers went patriotic.  

Gaga rocks a custom Perry Meek stars and stripes strapless bra and panties set with crimson leather backside. 

The dancers wear custom designs by OLIMA, Bess NYC, NOKI and Franc Fernandez.

To complete her look, the Italian-American singer donned custom Perry Meek red half palm leather gloves and Christian Louboutin Fall/Winter 2010 Supra Fifre boots in metallic silver.

Finally the two flee into the desert with their Pussy Wagon. 

Both girls wore chiffon dresses with built-in Western hats by emerging designer Emilie Pirlot’s 2009 “Mysterious Wonderland” collection. Love, love, love Gaga’s bespoke sky-blue variant.

She also donned the Saint Laurent black patent leather Tribtoo platform pumps with round toe.

JOANNE WORLD TOUR CHAPTER I: VISUALS

Welcome to the first part of the “Joanne” World Tour fashion credits here on La Maison Gaga. Since Lady Gaga started her tour in Vancouver, I’ve been talking nonstop to her team and various designer labels to gather all the information for you. 

Let’s begin with the interludes and visuals that Gaga made for the tour in collaboration with Lobster Eye - the creative studio created by Ruth Hogben and Andrea Gelardin.

For the official tour poster, Lady Gaga is rocking a bespoke hot pink pair of the Malibu shades by Wildfox Couture. 

These super round and oversized acetate shades come in a various array of colors and feature a metal bridge.

For the “Rhino” film, Gaga wore chunky necklaces created by Martine Ali, whose designs have been featured prominently on this blog. 

Her flat link necklace and broken ball chain choker are the most similar. Gaga also sported the safety pin earring and the Boxer bracelet, which she wore for all the upcoming visuals.

The horns are by AFX Studio and her black pocket tee by Saint Laurent.

In this behind-the-scenes photo, wecan get a clearer look at her insane prosthetics, as well at another pair of earrings! They’re the Swing earrings by Charlotte Chesnais, but in reserved colors.

The interlude titled “Trapped”, in which Gaga gets crushed between two walls, is my absolute favorite visual.

Gaga wore a custom oversized ruffled burgundy tulle coat from New York-based emerging designer label KAIMIN. This piece is based on their Fall/Winter 2017 “Fable Warrior” collection.

We can also spot the Suffocation large hoop and safety pin earrings by Laruicci.

What truly caught my eyes were the shoes. The thigh-high flared vinyl platform boots were designed and created by Kira Goodey for Royal College of Art alumni Colin Horgan’s 2017 collection.

That’s not it with KAIMIN. For the backdrop played during ‘Alejandro’, Gaga sports the Fall/Winter 2017 “Fable Warrior” metallic silver leather jacket with exaggerated shoulders and multi-buckled waist.

Underneath, she rocked the Toxic crystallized nude catsuit by d.bleu.dazzled.

For the 'Applause’ interlude, Gaga wore three different looks. She started with the elegant inflatable puffer half dress with ruffle trim and zipper from emerging designer Olya Kosterina’s Fall/Winter 2017 “Coup De Grace” collection. 

What an incredible piece of art.

Her Lyra thigh-high red stocking boots with ball chain trim were custom-made by Alexander Wang, based on his Fall/Winter 2017 collection.

She then twirled around in the custom JimmyPaul peach marabou-trimmed chiffon robe which she wore a few months ago. 

In other shots we can see the singer in a black vinyl fringed jacket by OLIMA.

Underneath, she wore a sheer catsuit with star-shaped vinyl panels from iconic London-based designer Pam Hogg’s Fall/Winter 2016 collection.

Finally, the car interlude in which Gaga is seen driving around the place in her vintage car wearing nothing but a white “Lady Gaga” embroidered bodysuit by the Haus of Gaga and denim shorts with a few flashy accessories.

Gaga wore the trademark Lady Bianca pink felt velour hat by Gladys Tamez Millinery for this interlude.

PERFORMANCE: INAUGURAL LOVE ABOVE ALL BALL

Marina was one of the attendees and performers at the star-studded Inaugural Love Above All Ball: Benefiting Born This Way Foundation hosted by the Rainbow Room in NYC on June 28, 2019!

She was styled by Mercedes Natalia and Fernanda Clark. Beautiful braids by Jenni Iva Wimmerstedt and glam by Alana Palau, respectively.

"It’s fun being a queen. #pride“ our queen shared after the colorful night.

She looked absolutely mesmerized and was the best dressed in the room in the finale look from Christian Siriano’s Pre-Fall 2019 lookbook  — a voluminious purple tiered rushed tulle ball gown with draped bodice!

Moving on to the jewelry. Her earrings are the Roxanne Assoulin baby Hip Hop But Not crystal earrings in purple & green ($75.00 - sold out).

“Powerful mosaic of light and colors reminds us of the subtle pastel radiance of sunsets in the Tuscany vineyards.” This is how Daniella Kronfle describes her Mille Volte 18k rose-gold ring with rose-cut amethysts ($5,500.00).

Furthermore, she wore a pair of Le Silla pumps, which we sadly cannot see, and the Edie Parker mini Lara pearlized lavender clutch as you can see here.

While performing “Froot”, “Orange Trees” and a handful of her other hits, M changed into a bespoke OLIMA purple crystal-encrusted bodysuit and detachable purple silk lamé open-front skirt with oversized bow on the back.

This is camp at its finest!

Finally, the look was complimented with a pair of Kate Spade New York’s lavender leather Rochelle knee boots with wooden heel.
