A preliminary study published in 2015, in JAMA Internal Medicine reported that older women in Spain who ate a traditional Mediterranean diet enhanced with extra-virgin olive oil (EVOO) were less likely to be diagnosed with breast cancer by more 60%. The 3 study groups included; a Mediterranean based diet plus additional EVOO, another with the Mediterranean diet plus additional nuts and the other group being the control group. This study was originally setup to investigate the impact of diet on cardiovascular health, but also concluded significant breast cancer findings. The study ran for 5 years on 4300 women. The study needs to be re-run and designed to properly test the impact of EVOO on breast cancer. Research of olive oil has progressed significantly over the last decade and it would be interesting to see how an Oleocanthal rich EVOO would do in such a test! . . #oleocanthal #olivepolyphenols #oliveoil #oliveoils #lucaniaestate #polyphenol #anticancer #anticardiovasculardisease #antiheartdisease #oliveoil #happy #naturegoodness #love #amazing #instagood #colourful #healthylifestyle #healthy #healthyeating #healthyliving #health #antibreastcan cer #cancerlife #breastcancer #breastcancerfree #breastcancerawareness #lucaniaestate #smile #love #selflove #selfcare #oleo #healthbenefits https://www.instagram.com/p/CKyHkBCDj9r/?igshid=1jgzmyvelpm3p
