I've been thinking about Oliver-Ollie lately, and today a question pops up in my mind:

What exactly is Oliver's soot power?

We know that his soot is a necessity to control his machinery, but we don't exactly know what it does. Is he capable of controlling things, like how Kate does it with Pan-chan or Mirabelle-Isabelle with controlling others' movement?

Is his soot some kind of energy source that's similar to Barbara, but more in a physical sense as it actually moves things around, like a gear or oil?

I don't know and I am curious.

That aside though, all Shadows' soot is considered to be an energy source, right? Due to the fact that it's all collected and made into soot coal, the manor most important product. Maybe Oliver's soot is similar to that, but doesn't need to be tempered with heat and can be used as is ...?

I know the detail isn't important, but it just never occurs to me purely because his mad-scientist ability outshines his soot power most of the time- That sometimes I even forgot that he *has* a soot power.
