Matt Tribe of Utah purchased a pass from the restaurant Olive Garden, which him unlimited pasta from Sept. 22 through Nov. 9. He used the pass to feed homeless people in an effort he dubbed "Random Acts of Pasta." Here's a story about Tribe, from ABC: http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/man-olive-garden-pasta-pass-feed-homeless/story?id=27287818. Tribe said, “The whole thing start to finish changed my outlook on life in several ways, but I think I got more out of this than anyone else who got pasta. I understand now why people devote their lives to serving others,” he said. “It’s hard to feel bad, sad or depressed when you’re helping other people. It helps a lot. I hope this translates into someone doing something nice for someone else.” #homeless #hunger #charity #OliverGarden #RandomActsOfPasta #homelessness
As a trans male, your posts encouraging the bullying of the privileged (specifically cisgendered/heterosexual) are seriously upsetting. May I ask, where do you stand with your (non) privileges; and why do you condone the hate of "cishets" in attempt to ultimately end hate?
sighs there are things I agree with and things i don’t and sometimes it gets muddled together on my blog so I apologize if anything i’ve reblogged pertaining to this has upset you because that was not my intent
i’m assuming this is in response to the ask I reblogged? [if not you’re gonna have to point me in the right direction l o l] but the reason I reblogged that post was for the comment by snarkyhorseshit- cisphobia exists on the internet. no one gets put down for being white in real life, no one gets called derogatory terms for being white etc etc
whereas transphobia kills and ruins lives and puts real trans people in danger
personally I think the rise of comments like “cis is piss” and etc are coping mechanisms and aren’t made by people seriously wanting white cis people dead. like. hell I’m cis im white as a goshdarn snowflake but its never upset me? I don’t know maybe I’m getting the wrong idea and I should be upset about it but idk I feel like I’m constantly learning about these things and trying to make fair choices about what I believe in
in the end I don’t condone hating anyone! but I also don’t believe in this “why can’t we all just be nice” idea because to me it invalidates being angry- we are allowed to be angry, its a real emotion and being told to hold our tongues and just be nice to people who have angered us doesn’t sit right with me
so I hope that sort of clears stuff up if it doesn't let me know!
EDIT: SHIT THIS POSTED PUBLICALLY im sorry if you wanted this private I can delete it if you want
