i've gotten used to the switched post and close buttons but it always throws me off when they make insignificant changes like that. i just don't see the point?? it doesn't make it easier to use or prettier or anything

God doesn’t it ever. I think they do it to piss us off (and they know it works assholes) I think, if anything, it makes it confusing but we’re used to it being the other way around... kinda rude of them and it really doesn’t do anything aesthetically. It was literally just something they could do and say they’ve “improve the site” urgh

No problem! I’m a nerd when it comes to using stuff so I always have to “click this and click that and oh look the browser’s crashed” ;)

ugh okay i downloaded the old setup extension and the only problem it had (that i can't seem to find a solution to anywhere) is that it doesn't give me the option of editing to html of the post so i have to rely on keyboard shortcuts

oh no it does! it’s the little settings wheel in the top right. click on that and then you can change it to html and stuff :)

it might not've been the extension i use bc mine doesn't have that problem, but idk. i'm gonna try out the old setup one tho and see if i like it better (bless your soul for showing me this)

it probably wasn’t, i used the first extension that did the ‘i shall wait at the side for you to use me’ thing and maybe i used a crappier version of the one you do *shrugs* i’m happy with this extension though bc it’s quite similar to the old text box. only thing is the post and close buttons are opposite again and urgh... wish this extension fixed that aspect! :D

there's also a stylish extension that puts all the options lined up on the side rather than only showing up when you highlight the words if people wanna keep the new setup (but i like your idea better)

I actually tried to use that extension before but I got really annoyed with it bc every time I scrolled down the bar didn’t scroll with the screen so I had to manually move it... very frustrating
