It was a little chilly and wet but Cat didn’t care. She splashed a little bit in the puddles on her way to Beck’s RV, jumped in one that soaked her ankles and left trails of dirty water on her legs. They were supposed to be working on their script over the weekend for Sikowitz’s class and she decided to walk to his place. Because in her mind they didn’t live that far from one another. The rain shower didn’t start until she reached half the distance, the dryness in the air disappearing within minutes.
She strolled up his driveway with slightly damp red hair (the color of red velvet cupcakes, a shade vibrant against the gray sky) and a light smile across her lips. Of course, she saw Beck all the time but it was never really just the two of them alone together. He always made things fun, so her mood remained in its typical state. Maybe a bit freer due to the small rays of sunshine peeking through the clouds. Her knuckles banged against the door a few times before it opened. “Hi, it’s really cold outside,” Cat expressed almost breathlessly, but happy nonetheless.
