their conversation about moving to who's place was put on pause because they both couldn't really make a decision. olivia knew how much fletcher liked living in his cabin and she didn't want him to make the decision just for her sake so things went back to their usual. some nights fletcher would stay with her in town with cole and then the other nights she would stay with him at his cabin.

this was a night she'd stayed at his cabin, waking up to the smell of food that was coming from the kitchen but it didn't get her out of bed (not yet at least). after some time she did eventually peel herself out of bed, threw on one of his shirts and made her way to the kitchen. "morning babe," she greeted by wrapping her arms around him while he cooked and buried her face in his back.

olivia gave fletcher a quick kiss and told him she'd be back when she saw zarina and made her way over to arguably one of her best friends. however the look on the others face made her raise an eyebrow, tilting her head to the side a little. "why do you look like you've seen a ghost?"

olivia missed being around horses so it wasn't really a shock when she ended up here, petting one of them that had wondered close to the gate. "sorry," she said when she noticed someone walking up to her, "couldn't help myself, she's beautiful."

"howdy there stranger." olivia didn't see ward as much lately between both their lives being fairly busy. she saw him not long after the geyser and told him about her dad showing up and that sure was a conversation. "i see you were able to get out by yourself tonight, figured i'd find you here when you weren't at home."

they weren't doing anything at the moment, dinner was done already and eaten so really it was just up to them what they wanted to do for the night. olivia decided to drag fletcher off to the bedroom, sure you would've thought it was for that but instead she just sat down then pulled him with her, wrapping herself around his waist in the process. "thanks for letting me stay over more often, with my dad showing up shits been... i don't know sad i guess. you make it better." she said looking up at him with a soft smile.

so much has happened today and olivia was slowly hitting the point of exhaustion for the day but she still wanted to go to this ball thing with fletcher. she hung onto his arm, head resting on his shoulder and her eyes closed taking this small break to let herself breathe. "i know these things aren't always your style but thank you for coming with." she said and moved her chin to rest on his arm to look up at him.

today was already an emotional day from the moment she woke up. it was dakotas birthday and the first one he wasn’t here for, there was a lot of firsts since his death and none of them were ever easy. she’s gone to the festival because olivia needed the distraction even if she didn’t fully trust things to go right but as she walked the booths she saw an all to familiar face and suddenly it felt like she was a kid again. “dad?” she mumbled to herself before fully processing what she was seeing. “dad.” she felt tears instantly form as she threw her arms around him and wrapped him in a tight hug, afraid that if she let go she’d think this was some twisted dream.

olivia was messing with her straw, swirling the milkshake around with it before looking at cole. "i both love and hate that fletchers place is in the woods, i like that it's secluded and we don't have to worry about neighbors or anything but sometimes i just wanna be lazy and make him come see me after work but i can't." which wasn't a fletcher issue, neither were because she still enjoyed his place and being there she just wanted to be able to have him over as well without issues. "you get a place yourself yet?" she finally asked.
