Stars for Adelden and Snow for Olivile (Alile hates the cold mwuhahaha)
Aiden knew he wasn’t supposed to take outsiders to the Pack Grounds, but he couldn’t resist. It was the perfect time of year, getting warm but no bugs out yet, and the ground would be soft instead of wet and the grass would be new and soft. “Just a little further.” He assured Adel as he hauled him through the dark woods, finally emerging into a large clearing. The two lay on the grass, Aiden holding Adel’s hand and rubbing it with his thumb. He pointed out the constellations, telling his mate stories of Cassiopeia, Leo, Orion, and the two bears; Ursa Major and Ursa Minor. Adel made a comment abut Aiden being a ‘bear’ and Aiden laughed. “I’ll be the big bear and you can be the little bear.” He giggled, nuzzling into Adel’s cheek with his nose. He rolled over on his side and made Adel point, lining up the boy’s finger to show him a certain star between the two constellations. “That star right there, the bright one, do you see it? That’ll be our star…” He grinned. “It’s all ours, no one else can have it…” He wrapped his arms around Adel and kissed him, snuggling into the nook of his neck. “But don’t tell anyone about it… it’ll be our little secret.”
Oliver didn’t know what to do or why Alile was so cold. He’d already given her his sweatshirt and his winter coat, having to grow out his fur under his arms to keep warm himself. Taking a walk out in the woods was his idea. There was nothing to do and there wasn’t a whole lot of snow on the ground, but the wind had suddenly died down and he couldn’t pick up the scent to lead them back home. Alile was still shivering, even with Oliver’s arms wrapped tightly around her. “Baby, you’re still cold…” He frowned, moving to remove his coat from her body. He set the coat on the ground, waterproof-side down, and removed his shirt, pants, and shoes. He shivered when his bare feet touched the snowy ground and began to shift, allowing his boxers to rip around him. He nudged Alile to sit on his clothes, insulated from the cold grown, and wrapped his body around her. He was much warmer and so was she, snuggled close to him and nearly disappearing in the fur of his winter coat. He lay down and protected her from the cold, they could bother to stay like this until the wind picked up and he could sniff their way home.
