I really love the Olympics, like, REALLY love it, but I saw so many injustices committed in this edition, like, the male judo competition where Rafael Macedo (Brazil), lost the bronze medal to France without any explanation. Not even the guy who declared France the winner explained why he lost.
During the female surf competition, Tati Weston-Webb surfed this amazing wave when she needed 4.68 and they gave her 4.50. Even the USA surfer who won the gold medal questioned how did she win after Tati got that wave but they didn't reply.
Our female football team had a 16 minutes extratime when playing against France but the referee extended the game to 20 minutes, and then when playing against the USA during the finals, we got a penalty that was ignored by the referee, wich made the whole stadium boo.
This is a tiny part of it, but after what I read about what happened to the gymnastics competition, I think this happened to more countries than just Brazil. It is pretty revolting and I really hope next time they will do better, but, I heard this former athlete commenting that after he won his silver medal, it came out that the USA athlete who got the gold one was caught on a doping test. According to the rules, he should be disqualified and the gold medal should be given to the second place. This happened in Sydney, 24 years ago, and he still hasn't received the medal or any apology from the Olympic committee, so it seems it has always been like this.
Just had to make sure these guys were on Tumblr.
Do you think Lance had this moment of abject HORROR when he saw Jan during the summer Olympics 2000? Because of Jan's haircut mishap, and all of his pretty curls are gone 😭😭🤌🤌
Like, it's the first time he's ever seen Jan's hair THAT SHORT.
What the hell!? Who did this to his Jan's hair?!
And Lance goes crying to George (cause George is his bestie and of the US team he's literally the only one that'll listen to his whining) and George has to console Lance about Jan cutting his hair way too short.
I post way too little olympic stuff🤷♂️ Like, look at his proud smile😁
