In my last trip to Puerto Vallarta I had the opportunity of talking to the sacristan of the cathedral. He told me this story about The crown of the main tower of the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Baroque style and design, this crown is supposed to be a replica of the crown that the Empress Carlota owned. Carlota was the wife of Maximiliano of Habsburg, emperor of Mexico from 1864 to 1867. The contrasts of the architecture of the church, which is a true expression of Mexican popular art, as it combines several architectural styles that ingenuity integrated the different parish priests, masons and craftsmen throughout its construction. Without a doubt a great place to stop and admire. #ilovetraveling #puertovallarta #omarvazcar #learnbytravel #culturaltrip #mexico https://www.instagram.com/p/BsW33FvA-S7/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=o3qj8w6g7ahf
