One Man Breakfast Club - 00
Ahh, winter. Season of happiness and joy. Host of holidays and ruler of chill. Money drain and home of seasonal depression, probably. For me, winter has been losing its charm ever since I’m in high school. This time it’s only became worse. And it’s been a helluva long winter.
Lately I’ve been having trouble being with other people, so I came to an idea. To be alright with other people I have to be alright with myself. At the time this idea rushed into my head I was hella hungry and it was conveniently lunch break, so I took my way into the sunrise and so my quest began.
Breakfast club is a 1985 film by John Hughes that I have not seen enough times. It tells the story of five high school students assisting detention on a saturday. Strangely enough it only features breakfast for around 5 minutes, but my breakfast club is less bonding with outcasts and more lonely ranger eating.
Thursday the 21st (so damn close) I put my mind to a sole objective. Finding the perfect breakfast restaurant with the perfect price-performance ratio. My school is in a fancy suburb so I know this is gonna be hard, but I know it will be worth it.
My first goal was a bakery shop I used to visit with my friends, Pierre Lacoste. To be honest, it felt pretty bad to show up alone. Specially because usually my friends and I would fill the tiny place every time we arrived.
I bought a cup of one of the best hot chocolate I’ve ever had for $15MXN and a slice of great pizza for the same ammount. There’s a small park in front of the bakery so I sat alone and ate before returning to school. The food was great as always and eating in that park was something I’ve wanted to do in a long while but hadn’t had the guts to do it on my own, so it was much better than I thought it would be.
The only reason I’m writing this is cause I’m going through a lot right now and I feel I have nowhere to vent. So, here I am. Writing a blog on a dead site for myself and who knows what kind of beings lurking around. Anyways, hopefully this won’t be abandoned and next issues won’t be as long as this one.

P.S. If you’re into anime and weeb shit go watch Alita: Battle Angel. What a great film.
