a couple of new plants! lemon tree and death flower, as well as overrides for custom plants cauliflower and broccoli (by @icemunmun-spicy-scalpel)

in fun news i figured out how to give plants custom soil, so now carrots can be in cute little individual soils in a row! need to fix the bones so they sit a bit lower in the ground, but i think it looks nice :)

since the death flower isn't a real life thing, i had to come up with what the plant should look like. do you guys think this looks alright?

some more plant updates :) i’ve had a really bad infection and am still recovering, but it’s nice to distract myself by making pretty plants lol

so pictured above we have: peppermint, chamomile, custom beetroot!!, eggplant (need to fix the bones) and cucumber. the trees are cherry, plum and orange

it’s way harder to make trees than smaller plants imo, it’s so hard to make them look nice and bushy from all angles without making the game explode from high poly counts 😭 so sometimes they do look a little funny at certain angles

more plants, yay! first off, i finally managed to properly copy over the bones from ts4 plants, so my root veggies look so much nicer!! also i didn’t know that wolfsbane and mandrake were real plants lol they’re actually so pretty

ended up replacing the mandrake mesh with the one from ts4 cause it has a cute lil face :) made a completely new mesh for the pumpkins & watermelon, which i think turned out really nice!

and finally the apple tree omg i’ve remade it about 5 times now.. i THINK this is the final version! thanks to a great idea from @whaturlchooseitforme i’ve managed to make it look nice and full without having to have the apples as part of the texture!

finished up the strawberries and onions, and made some cute little garden stakes! also made yet ANOTHER version of the apple tree cause i wasn’t satisfied 😅

 i absolutely love the apple tree that comes with cawblog’s strawberry acres, and wanted a real apple tree to match! so now it has fallen apples when it’s ready to harvest (thanks to @bietjie for this idea!) i’ll release two versions, so people that prefer to not have apples as part of the texture can still have a pretty tree :)

and i’m back in tørsvall!!! found out the swan effects i converted from TS4 were causing massive lag and had to delete them :(( they were so cute!!

3 more plants done! first one is the raspberry bush from the store, then the potato plant and lettuce :) you can see the lettuce has a big blob in the middle when it’s ready to harvest - that was the best way i could do it lol

unfortunately that means the harvestable itself is bigger too, which imo is better than the tiny version ea had, but still not great (and honestly i had such a difficult time replacing the mesh that i’m not gonna mess around with geostates!!)

also i kind of major issue is that the store plants have their own xml, which is also in ccmerged. for my game at least, i have to keep ccmerged in my overrides folder for my premium content to work, so therefore CAN’T override it for this mod. the only solution was to edit the xml directly in the ccmerged, which isn’t ideal... if anyone can think of a workaround for this, let me know!!

in the top pic we have tomatoes (with updated textures), basil and garlic 🍝

second pic shows the size difference between my apple tree and the ea tree - hopefully this size is ok? i plan on making custom smaller trees for indoor growing

last pic is my attempt at lettuce lol. gotta fix the textures and for some reason the harvestable part is like half invisible??

sorry i’m working so slowly on this! i´m a bit of a perfectionist and it takes time to get each mesh & textures looking nice

i’m back! first of all, thank you so much to everyone for reblogging my last post and all the wonderfully kind people who donated to help me get a new monitor <3 words cannot express how grateful i am to you all!

i was super lucky and managed to find the exact same type of monitor on gumtree (which is like an australian secondhand marketplace) which was great because i called about 5 different computer repair places and no one would fix it for me! (apparently $400 monitors aren’t “worth fixing” since they’re “not that expensive” lmao, sorry but that’s a lot of money to me!!)

anyway i’m back at it with the default plants! i’ve finished the grapes and the lime tree :) i edited the colour of the limes to be a little more yellow, and dulled the colours of the grapes to be more natural. unfortunately i cant find all the images for the WA grapes.

i also have a fix for the pumpkin and watermelon which were broken. and ALSO i have an update to include douglasveiga’s banana tree and @bietjie ‘s single corn stalk! i will reblog the main download with these updates asap

quick question - is anyone else having issues with the carrot, watermelon and pumpkin once youve picked them? do they look normal when you place them on the ground or are they broken?

i’m on a roll!! finished the carrot and bell pepper plant! (also gonna make an optional string override to change bell pepper into capsicum, for those who prefer it)
