*inside my head*: how do ghosts work in Harry Potter? Like, when they died, how can they carry objects? How can the Bloody Baron wear chains? Will they be stuck in the clothes they died in forever? How do the Headless Hunt ride horses? Did they die on the horse? Did the horse die with them? Can they leave Hogwarts and go haunt some other building? Can they apply for jobs? Professor Binns can teach so surely another ghost could go work at the ministry? Why do they just mope around the castle when they could go and explore the world? They can feel emotion, but can they feel it when they walk through someone? The person they walk through feels like they're in icy water, but do the ghosts feel warm?
