"Who are you?" You ask, and he snorts a little in laughter. "Dan," he says, half-smiling. "Obviously." Your conversation is interrupted, however, by something diving out of the darkness and trying to claw your face off. He grabs you by the arm and says, "Take this! There's only one way to wake up," before kissing you. You wake up gasping for breath in your bed.
