for all the nonsense that's being published, we really are in a renaissance of horror novels! More and more minorities are being published, so we see more of other people's terror—the terror of women, Indigenous people, Black people, people from all around the globe! And because there's so much of it, there's really something for everyone? Supernatural not your type? That's okay! There's gothic novels, horror sci-fi, horror fantasy, fairy tale retellings, monster stories + alien stories + ghosts, ghouls, goblins, YAYYYY!
