it’s melancholic man summer. sad boy spring. a time for emotionally vulnerable and spiritually withered young men lounging out in patches of sunlight like pathetic dogs who have not yet realized their glory days are behind them and perhaps never truly came. a time for quiet reflections by gently streaming bodies of water and long, wistful daydreams that have yet to pass. a time for despondent, lingering gazes towards the object of your affection while soft music fills the space around you with an air of longing. this is a season for the yearners, the crestfallen, the lachrymose, those unmoved by strong winds that break and breech upon your hilltop home, for the lovers, the melodramatic, and those who ask god for a reason why knowing full well they already have the answer
