One of the things I miss most is my ability to pull every time I went out. I still don’t know how I did it because I never dressed how the other girls did. I would be in my Nike hi tops, jeans and led zeppelin tee and I could always pull a bloke or a few. I only went home twice and I mostly just kissed them or did shots with them. FUNNY STORY. So my first episode was the reunion and when Charity walks into the gay club and sees Vanessa “dancing” and says something about “I thought she was gonna pull” I STRAIGHT UP thought I had had a stroke. I listened to it like 10 times because I couldn’t tell what the word was.

Harry Potter was a lie when it comes to British words I think. Or it’s largely devoid of slang because yeahhhh that was not good preparation

Fanfic: Main character's best friend had told her to get dressed up and look nice so she threw on a band shirt, a pair of jeans, and her old boots. She sighed, looking into the mirror, she coated her lashes with mascara and decided that was enough. When she exited the bathroom her friend cheered, "Girl you look amazing!"

When Lister is talking about art college and Arnold is trying to learn Esperanto and Holly invented new notes...I love the little every day interactions thrown into these early episodes.

Women will have to be banned from playing the cello.

In some ways this is really one of the saddest episodes in the close but no cigar aspect....they were so excited!!! 

Captain A.J. Rimmer Space Adventurer...and his face when Lister was mocking him in front of the skeletons....I always nearly cry....

When Cat says  “only 24 hours I better start getting ready”....that is ME

I really like the Kryten actor in this and his discovery of his self and needs is a great moment...so sweet

But really...this episode....I so vibe with how nervous and intense these guys get about meeting prospective dates. #whenyouwearallyourleastsmeggythings

I adore the music that is playing when they are all getting ready!
