Red dwarf has so much tumblr potential. Its criminal that theres such a small fandom surrounding it consisting mainly of middle aged men and their cool kids.

Its literally a quaint British sci-fi sitcom with fugly low budget graphics. There's insane ssxual tension between the two humans. They've got a diva cat, a male wife robot, Mpreg, and all sorts of funky ass scenarios to dip into. Time travel, space, alternate universes, Northern main character, trauma, backstories, and so much more.

I was randomly watching the bonus content for series 5 and stumbled upon the part where everyone was talking about Chris getting oiled up for Rimmerworld. And oh my, I just kept replaying this part of Craig over and over to make sure I wasn't just hallucinating

The thing that I love about the later series of Red Dwarf is that these guys...really just have spent over half their lives together in space. I love it so much. Rimmer's wearing a bathrobe? They're playing cards and Mineopoly together with assigned seating? Cat needs reading glasses?? Kryten has a mid life crisis?? Lister spends all of The Promised Land giving fond smiles at Rimmer????? They've spent so much time together and they're family and they bicker and they stick up for each other and they can't live without each other and omg i love them so much and i can't stop thinking about them
