Happy Meet and Greet Monday! 😁 A question for Hannelore: How long have you been Countess and what's your daily routine?
Ohh this is one of my favorite MAGM questions I’ve ever gotten! I so rarely have an excuse to write from Hannelore’s POV. (Also, would you guys watch an 1869 “Get Ready With Me” video from Hannelore? I totally would)
Take it away, Hannelore!

“I married Heinrich in 1846, only about a year after his father had died and Heinrich inherited the title. I will say that despite the fact that our families introduced us, it was very much a love match. Heinrich is a very dear man. One never has to worry about him conducting affairs with opera singers or gambling at cards like some men.
My days generally follow the same routine, and I must schedule everything carefully--there is always so much to do! I usually rise around 7:30, dress, and write a few letters before breakfast. It’s very important to keep in touch with one’s family, especially when they are spread out over half of Europe.
Before breakfast I will check in on my son Heini and make sure he is behaving well for his tutor instead of drawing cows on his slate (It is admirable how much he cares about looking after the farm, but if he wants to do well in school next year he must concentrate). Afterwards I will take breakfast with my husband and daughter, and then discuss household matters with the housekeeper and cook.
Afternoons vary from day to day; on Mondays I will generally meet Mrs. Rachel Stein and take our daughters to some improving exhibition or performance. I do sympathize with Mrs. Stein; both of our daughters are quite headstrong, though I do think Marta is moderately more sensible than Sophie. She can be so terribly radical. Still, the two girls are very dear friends.
On Tuesdays I host a sewing circle for various of my friends and their daughters, the products of which we usually donate to orphanages or other good causes around the city. Marta, bless her, is wonderful at embroidery, though ever since she started taking those violin lessons on Tuesday mornings she’s been a bit distracted.
We often entertain in the evenings, if we aren’t visiting the Hofburg or taking dinner with friends. Heinrich has started to allow Heini to join us for part of the evening, which the darling boy does so enjoy. He and Marta do tease each other dreadfully, though.
All in all I consider myself quite blessed to have such a family, and my life is certainly everything I’d hoped for when I was a young girl.”
