Stargazing {closed with redeyesbluesky}

There was a certain beauty to the night sky. Everyone on minecraftia knew it. Few people in the world would look up at the sky and see nothing but black with white polka dots speckled across, nothing more than a picture painting. Almost everyone was entranced by the beauty of the night sky, with the shimmering lights and planets and stars that lay thousands of miles from where they stood, but still entranced people every night with their beauty.

Spotting stargazers caught up in the night sky was common if you wandered, people who either came out late or simply just forgot what they were doing. So when Sjin saw a boy standing in the field glancing up at the stars, he was far from surprised. Instead he approached carefully, weapons and tools tucked away and feet soft on the ground covered in leaves and twigs. Sjin simply fell beside the man, following the other’s gaze and staring at the same star cluster.

“It’s nice out here, isn’t it?”

Growling Tummies Make You Good Friends {{closed with  witchypurplepanda}}

Wiping his brow and scratching the back of his head, Sjin stands back to admire his work. The small farm wasn’t really anything grand, only a few rows of crops, but it was something to get him started. With a smile, he wipes his hands with a rag and tucks it away in his pocket. 

A couple minutes later, his stomach grumbles.

Perhaps, when breaking out of Yoglabs, he should’ve taken some actual already grown crops. Looking down at the barely planted seeds, he already regrets his decision. He would be dead before they grew. He sighs, and packs some things in a bag, off to go find someone who had food on them. It was a long stroll through what seemed to be an endless field, crossing a large ravine on a singular dirt path, but eventually he came across a lone house, a person inside sitting at a table scribbling into a book. They looked fairly well off

After so long without food (it had been almost two hours, jeez) he had almost gone savage. 

Sjin kicks down the door and draws his sword, pointing it at the other figure in the hopes of attaining a scarce amount of food.

“Freeze, buster! This is a stickup! Hand over your food, and nobody gets hurt!”

I Hate Them, And So Do You {{closed with themoodyranger}}

Night was the absolute worse.

Unable to sleep, paralzyed in fear as the zombies pounded on the tiny wooden door in the hopes to tear into the flesh of the man inside, ripping and biting through muscle and devouring him until there was nothing left. He had sort of turned into a scaredy-cat at first, locking himself in his small home and listening to their moans along with the clanking of bones and the hissing of... spiders for hours, until the sun peaked over the horizon and burned the bastards back to hell where they belonged.

After three sleepness nights, he decided to do something about it.

Adrenaline pushing over the fear, he ventured out of his home, slaying monsters one by one, confidence only growing with each last hiss of the monster as they collapsed. He hadn’t noticed the gang of advancing spiders on him, or how far he was from his home, until they were right behind him, one hissing in his ear and biting right into the back of his ankle.

His scream probably woke half of Minecraftia.

“SIPSY???? XEPH??? SOMEONE HELP!” He cried, sprinting in any direction in search of the quickly advancing spiders. When he came upon a wooden house, he ran up to the door and pounded on it vigorously, pleading who was inside to let him in.

Something about starting anew scared the living daylights out of Sjin. Though he had plenty of materials borrowed from the labs he escaped from, and a feeling of excitement deep in his soul, he was still terrified. It may not be for every Sjin that this feeling of fear resided in, most Sjins were pumped to refresh and build again from the beginning. There was one key thing that made all the difference:

he had nowhere to fall back to.

If things crashed and burned, there was no place he could call home. The now broken cloning chamber was far below ideal, and nobody he himself personally knew. He didn’t even know where the old ruins of Sipsco was exactly. And the fact that it was so important to do everything right this one time or fail miserably made it that much more stressful. 

So, upon discovering what looked like Lomadia wandering through the forest, he couldn’t help but jump on the opportunity of someone to help him.

Sure, he was somewhat terrified of Lomadia, who could probably benchpress him, but when he spotted her in the forest scavenging for items just as he was, though far less desperate, he thought she was a blessing from the Gods. Though he was slightly nervous of the possibility of being attacked by the intimidating girl, he was more afraid of dying without aid. A clone is a clone, one without respawn or much else at all.

“H-hey there!” He strolls over, trying to act casual. Was this how he acted? He wasn’t sure anymore. Static filled his mind, making it hard to think of anything at all. He didn’t notice any different of this one from the rest, and she seemed fairly similar. 

“Fancy seeing you here.... what are you up to?”

The Thief (closed with phantarp)

A backpack strapped upon his back and the restlessness of being cooped up in his bones, Sjin waved goodbye to the animals that stared at him curiously, only one of his cats sitting on his shoulder as his company. The animals didn’t really notice, neither did the farm itself. There was nothing but a gentle breeze and silence to meet his goodbye, and with a deep inhale, he strolled into the forest for the first adventure in months.

Strolling through the forest was calming- with plenty of supplies and no need for a sword, his only worry was what he would say to the stranger that happened to be wandering the forest in search of adventure just as he was. It wasn’t long before he abandoned the ground and went for the sky instead, miles traveled simply by walking the branches that connected and crossed, offering support and a view that could not be forgotten. The smile never left his face; there was nothing that made him more happy than finding new things and just being free. 

It took a while for him to find his first cave. 

It was small, almost unnoticeable among the tall trees and cast expanse of green- an above ground entrance into a small indent in the Earth, perhaps leading to treasure or a long amount of pathways below the surface. Dropping from the branch and adjusting his backpack, Sjin gets out his torches and lights them, walking to the entrance and holding the torch up, lighting up the walls with a faint yellow light.

Huddled up against one of the walls was a girl with messed up hair, staring at him in surprise.

“Hello?”

Arrested For What? (closed)

It was certainly not the situation you would want to introduce yourself to a person in.

 Pushing through the trees with his shoulder, Sjin winces as yet another branch whacks him in the stomach, unnoticed by the farmer with only the goal ahead. The smoke rising from a house was what he was aiming for, but being handcuffed with your hands behind your back made mobility much harder. Turning to the side and almost tripping over some tree roots, Sjin continues his noisy journey through the forest, crashing through the growths in a very ungraceful way, which normally would bother the hell out of him.

It had started out as a seemingly harmless joke while on patrol in the forest, Lalna and Sjin droning on with their endless conversations and not finding a single person to arrest. There might have been a little alcohol in their system, which led to Lalna joking about Sjin being under arrest for being “too handsome.” Agreeing with a drunken laugh, Sjin had no idea Lalna would admit to having hid the key, and teleport away in a fit of laughter.

The house came into view slowly, Sjin’s eyes widening when he finally saw it in full detail. It was a beautiful take on a log home, with elegant walls and glass, a modern twist on an idea so old fashioned. Sjin bites his lip and prays that someone is home, for both assistance with the obsidian magically/enchanted locked cuffs and talking about the architecture of the home.

Unable to knock on the door politely, the cop shifts his weight on his feet uncomfortably, standing outside and just glancing around for a brief moment. Nobody he knew could build this well, so obviously he would have to deal with making the world’s weirdest first impression.

“Hello? Anyone home?? I need help!”

Lost (closed)

Strolling through the forest and glancing around, Sjin holds the map up at the sun, blocking it so he can shield his eyes and get a better view of what was ahead. A large hat on his head and a even bigger backpack on his back, it was hard to concentrate when there was so much stuff to do. They had a spot planned out, it had been for weeks, and yet Sjin couldn’t seem to find the willow tree that marked the spot where they would stay. It was hard enough to bring Lalna camping in the first place, much less when it involved walking for… how long had it been now? God if he knew, but it felt like hours.

With a sigh, Sjin gives up, folding up the map and looking around once more to see if he can spot a marker. The unknown territory gave him an unfamiliar sense of uneasiness, starting with a tightness in his chest that might be played off as the large backpack strap going around his chest being too tight.

He leans against a spruce tree and sighs, lifting up his hat to grimace at Lalna, trying to offer words of encouragement but finding none. He hands over the map to Lalna, not knowing he had been holding it upside down the entire time, and that they were far far away from their destination by now, help even further as far as he knew.

“Shit, uh, see if you can do anything better with this thing. We were supposed to arrive hours ago!”

Watch Your Feet (closed)

Peering around a corner and staring into the darkness, Sjin looks around frantically for the source of light his friend so often left, tracing his footsteps back and catching himself in a loop, turning down corridor after corridor in search of his partner. He was met with dead ends and darkness, his calls met with only the groans and hisses of mobs that could be below his feet or around the next corner. You never knew in these things. It was only the first floor and both of them were hopelessly lost, their plan for splitting up gone awry and leaving both of them scrambling to kick away the darkness and try and find each other before descending once more.

Sjin reaches the area where they began, blinking at the small amount of sunlight that reached down into the already deep dungeon from far above. It seemed so out of reach, and when his call received no response he knew that wasn’t the place to be yet. So he continued walking, lighting torches on the right side as he went (as promised) and trying to find a lost spaceman.

“Xeph?? Where are you?” Sjin yells, scratching the back of his head and walking with a sword held lazily in his left hand. Rounding another corner into darkness, Sjin lets out a loud high pitched scream when met with a creeper, quickly slicing at it so it didn’t bring an explosive quick end to what was supposed to be an adventure to tell his grandkids someday. The creeper gave a hiss as it took its last breath, hitting the floor and fading away into the void, allowing Sjin to step past and continue on his search for his friend. The bubbling of lava can be heard from somewhere close, making him tread lightly to avoid any tripwires leading to his doom.
