All Is One & One Is All

Recently found myself listening to a guided meditation tape. And came across something that really resonated with me.

At one point, the man in the tape started talking about this energy that I was supposed to focus on. The energy was pulsating just underneath my skin, he said. And the physical sensation was definitely there. The more I consciously observed it, the more apparent it became. It felt like it nearly spilled outside of the physical confines of my body; the energy couldn't be tethered anymore. Almost like it had a mind of its own. I could feel it hovering just above my skin, all around my body. Tingly and warm. I became very conscious of the life force in me, and just how alive I really was.

The man on the tape had gone on to say that the energy was growing in size to fill the space available in my entire room. And do it did. I wondered what would have happened if someone listened to this tape under a tree. Or on a boat. I soon found out.

The energy, he said, now spread across the whole city and over to other places, where my friends and family are. Cosmic strings of energy banding me and my loved ones together. It further went on to attach to people I had briefly known, or maybe passed by on the street. Finally, when it was all done, I sat there trying to fathom a gigantic network of imaginary threads connecting me to everyone on this planet. And not just humans, all living beings. Like I was part of something much larger than myself, quite literally.

Ever experienced an awakening of this sort? Where you suddenly feel a very discernible connection with everyone and everything all at once? Like we are one consciousness? A ginormous entity living as a whole.

I feel like everybodys only focused on their own hurt, not that you’re wrong for that but if we cared more about the next person or each other we’d all probably be a lot better off!
