(One Leap)
And it's to too much to say I need you this way But tomorrow, you're already, gone And I can't move on
So we take one leap for the bottom and I pray your hope's not forgotten.
It's too much to say; I need you this way. Tomorrow you're already gone, and I can't move on.
So I take one leap for the bottom and I know your hope's long forgotten.
It's too much to say; I need you this way. Tomorrow you're already gone, and I have to move on.
One Leap by Joshua Radin off his 2010 album The Rock And The Tide
"Tomorrow, you're already gone."
Tomorrow you’re already gone and I can’t move on...
Tomorrow you’re already gone and I have to move on...

30 SongFics about Vaughn and Chelsea from Harvest Moon
#1. One Leap – Joshua Radin Chelsea sits on the dock of the island she knows as home, gazing out to sea morosely. She misses Vaughn. She always misses Vaughn on the Tuesdays when he has to go to the city. And she knows he’ll be back soon, but it doesn’t make her feel any better because she wants to be with him now. She never works on Tuesdays; she does all her chores late on the Monday night. Just so that she can sit and be miserable until Vaughn gets back. So she sits on the dock all day, wondering when her husband will be home. //What if I let myself fall and what if the stars don’t agree?// She listens to the same Joshua Radin song on her cheap mp3 player on repeat as she cries. It hurts to be away from him. She feels a tether attached to her ribs that pulls her to him. When there’s a boisterous sea between them it hurts. She feels as if it may snap and she would take to bleeding inwardly. The thought makes her cry more. Sometimes people come to see her while she sits, they try to comfort her but she doesn’t want comfort. She wants to be alone. Denny gets it; he comes every Tuesday, doesn’t say a word, but leaves a picnic basket for her. Cheese sandwiches and apple juice are always in there, he diversifies the rest. //Would the world stop or would it spin round without us? Would it spin around you without me?// She isn’t sure what she’d do in a world where Vaughn wasn’t in it. They’re always together, which is what makes it so hard when he goes away. It makes her cry more when she thinks about what she must look like to other people - the girl obsessed with her husband. She thinks they must think think she's crazy. It makes her cry more. //Our heroes have all been traded in; they can’t think what they used to be. So we look round and pray for salvation while they search for a light out at sea.// The mention of sea makes her feel ill. //So we take one leap for the bottom and I pray your hope's not forgotten.// She nibbles on a sandwich and lays down on the sun-warmed wood. //And it's too much too say I need you this way, but tomorrow you're already gone and I can't move on.// She hates it when she wakes up alone on Tuesday mornings. Natalie brings her breakfast and they watch Jeremy Kyle together while they eat. Then Natalie has to leave and Chelsea goes to the dock. //I talk to you in my mind while I lie down. I wish you could hear all the words you'd said. Without knowing they've travelled the world in my ears.// But all the waiting, all the tears and all the sadness are worth the elation of their reunion. She sees his ship on the horizon and leaps to her feet to watch it drawing nearer and nearer. And when it's close enough she takes one leap for the bottom step and prays she won't fall down when she hugs him as hard as she can.
