One Simple Idea

She knew he wasn’t in a right state of mind, and she took advantage of this without regret. Jessica never liked James, She wanted him gone, and finally she had the perfect plan for getting rid of him. She had been tracking his dealings with Sherlock Holmes very closely, and for saw the dramatic climax that was sure to come.  

“You’ll have to kill yourself too, that’s the only way to get rid of him, James.” Every so often she’d slip that thought to him until eventually he believed it. That’s how bad things had gotten, he actually fell for her idea, which would have never happened under normal circumstances. Someone normal would have felt bad for urging their sibling to death, but not Jessica. Her mind could only be bothered with getting every member of the Empire to come to terms with the fact that in a short while, there would be some new management.

She already had the most valuable piece of all. Sebastian Moran. Jessica gained his loyalty long ago when she stole his heart. (Of course, she loved him too, but she would never admit to it). Really once she had the sniper, it was only a matter of time before things started falling into place.

The soundtrack to Inception quickly became one of my favourites. Hans Zimmer has a brilliant craft. When I listen to the soundtrack I feel as though I am listening to the sound of a mind in motion - that is, a mind which is thinking and planning.
