Introduced in 1957, and rolling off the assembly line until 1959, the Aston Martin DB Mark III was the first model to be fitted with the distinctive “AM” front grille. It came in three variations: a hatchback, a drophead coupé, and a convertible version. Of the drophead convertible, apparently, only 84 were ever produced.
A reviewer at the time called it a car “for connoisseurs,” and went on to state that it had “many virtues and few flaws.” Among the latter, drivers tended to complain that it offered “a stiff ride.”
