Today — 13 January 2017 — marks 5 years since this 1Suitcase journey began.  

It began in Davis, California, USA and today I am in Šibenik, Croatia.

One time around the world.  10 years.

(And coincidentally another milestone was reached on this date:  I will sleep tonight in my 300th bed on this journey.)

So far, so good.

As I blow out these candles, I am wishing for 5 more amazing years.

One Suitcase at the door with my shoes on the floor....I've been here before. One suitcase and a phone that won't ring anymore...is there something I should know? Will there be a morning after, should I stay, or should I go?

One: Never talk to your mother when you are stressed about money.

Also: If you weren't so sentimental and selfish you could actually probably get some money. I know those are some of your favorite clothes, books, dolls, everything, but when you are on the street you will have to give them up anyway, so why not now? Why must you make things so hard?

This "one suitcase" goal is just making me really, really sad and frustrated and hard on myself. 

I hate hate hate hate myself right now.
