France is so cold right now... it's difficult for me to go outside, well actually the thing is that we are not used to it !!!

I love this ice skating picture, it's so pure, so simple. A few years back Yuji Obata published the book Wintertale, that how I first saw his work. Those who follow the blog know how much I love snow in pictures, and all that goes with snow !

There is something really poetic in Daisaku Nishimiya's work. Remember this book Hi mi tsu ki chi ; it's about everyday life. It's also about small details.

We met a few years ago, 2 or 3. And since then Daisuke Yokota made many books and he is haveing a huge success. It's the only black and white picture in our calendar. But this is not only B&W photography, it is Black & White + technical magic. Love it !

I love dogs. More than cats, sorry cat people. Well actually this photograph could also be loved by cat people.

This one could also be a tribute to French post classic calendars (Calendriers des Postes, check the link here).

Well, it's a mix of both, and I love it !

One Year for Japan, 2015 : Shigeo Gocho

Shigeo Gocho died at the age of 36, in 1983. He self-published the book "Familiar Street Scenes". 30 years later YAGISHA published this more than beautiful reprint.

I spent long minutes looking at this photograph in the book, so I sent an email to Yagisha, hoping i could use the picture for the calendar. And it worked ! I am so happy. This photograph is so powerful, simple, so beautiful.... I'm in love!
