The deathstar takes to long to charge. And from what it looks like in the movies you input the target coordinates before firing. Which would mean once its locked its locked so hitting fleets would be impossible without some sort of force intervention. And if you can fit xwings with hyperdrives I doubt the first order is above fitting TIE’s with them and using them as kamikazes
[The death star fires in 30 seconds at full charge, and a single reactor annihilated Jedha/an Imperial Base in Rogue One in much, much less time. Lumbering spacecraft like Mon Calimari Cruisers are absolutely not going to make it out of the way of that blast in time. Ignoring the fact that TIEs are explicitly incapable of hypertravel, the difference is one of scale. A capital-class vessel is hundreds or thousands (or in the case of that dreadnought, possibly millions) of times the size of a single strike craft. Even a barrage of thousands of starfighters jumping to lightspeed wouldn’t put a dent in a larger ship the same way a bunch of birds flying into a speeding car won’t do much but inconvenience it. The fleet wasn’t one-shot by the Holdo maneuver; hell people on board the dreadnought were still bickering and meleeing after the attack with plenty of time to escape.
At best, it’s a waste of tons of resources (how much metal, fuel, munitions, etc. do you think went into building that rebel flagship? Do you really think they’re gonna throw it away out of anything but desperation?). That’s a warship, armed to the teeth with guns, and nine times out of ten teeming with crew. The loss of people, tactical assets (trade a ship for a a ship, or keep yours and they lose theirs? That’s not a question. You always keep your assets if you can in a war), and the potential hit to morale from sacrificing such a huge part of your arsenal on what amounts to a high-stakes game of chicken are all more than sufficient to disincentivize use of the Holdo maneuver outside of specific, desperate circumstances.]

EXACTLY, Basically made all previous space battles moot if we can just launch unmanned or single person ships at fleets
Tonight on HNN: new republic officials are trying desperately to negotiate peace talks with several rogue factions threatening to hyperspace jump droid-piloted ships into its fleets and innocent space stations, ending the galaxy as we know it.
there have been talks of hyperdrive manufacturers finding a way to link computer boards directly to the modules in a way that could create an artificial intelligence that can determine whether the calculated jumps are safe to attempt. a possible fail-safe could be triggered to shut down attempts to jump when an unsafe calculation (or none at all) is made.
this raises questions of spacefaring legality, whether people have the freedom to hyperspace jump wherever they please, even if it could be unsafe for themselves and possibly others. some politicians argue that even if we were able to create new ships that are limited in their hyperspace jumps, how will we recall the billions of ships already being used? will some people make their own hyperdrives to do whatever they want, even if it was possible to destroy all old model ships?

At the end of the day she’s a smuggler, so you’re going to have to cook up a good deal with Anna. She knows how to talk the talk and walk the walk. She’s going to want to make sure a deal is fair…though if her end is better than yours, hey, that’s just business. Tell her what she wants to hear and deliver on it.
