The One I Love
Oliver's chest still hurt. He could still feel the pain of trying to gasp for air, of his heart straining to continue beating. He wasn't sure if this was actual lingering pain or if it was psychological. The thoughts of never seeing Thea, Diggle, or Felicity again put a whole new pain in his heart.
Oliver truly thought he was going to die. This was probably the hardest part of being happy, losing it all when things go south. He was alone when he was cornered by Darhk, paralyzed with no way to fight back Oliver thought he would leave his family for good this time. He could hear Felicity in ear, pleading with him to fight it and begging Diggle to move faster. Diggle got there just in time to allow Oliver to be released from Darhk's power.
Another failed attempt rendered the team disheartened, but Oliver was just happy to be alive. When they made it back he found his young blonde in his arms instantly. He held her tightly for a minute before taking a seat at the large conference table. One by one the other members of the team left until it was just Oliver and Felicity in their hide out. Oliver took a seat beside her at the conference table once everyone was gone.
"Come 'ere." Oliver grabbed Felicity hands and pulled her into his lap. He just needed her to be near him. Reassuring that they were both here together and that he wasn't gone. He kept his arms around her and left his forehead tilted on her shoulder.

I love this girl with all my heart. She is so awesome I can't sometimes believe that she is going to marry me in 4 months.
