FOR YOU SWEETIE :) = 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 19, 21, 25 (lots and lots cos im really interested to know:D)
You make me a happy, happy person ;u;2. Favorite Chapter? This changed over time…as a child I was much more fascinated by Valar and Maiar than anything else, so my favourite part was the Valaquenta. Now I predictably have to say “Of the Return of the Noldor”, because of the rescue of Maedhros by Fingon. That part never fails to give me goosebumps, I pestered my friends so much telling them about it and how beautiful it was to me. I once made a friend take the wrong road while she was driving because I was distracting her too much with that 8D I’m sorry.
3. Favorite Character?Again, when I read the Silmarillion the first time I didn’t really have a favourite character, but at my second reading I fell in love with Maedhros so much that he’s now not only my favourite Tolkien character, but also one of my favourite characters in general. His figure as the eldest son and older brother, his devotion to his family contrasting with the tragedy of his mistakes, his relationship with Maglor andFingon, how much he overcame and still how doomed he was.
4. Favorite Valar/Valier?When I was a kid I had an older friend who drew an amazingly beautiful portrait of Yavanna, and it kind of blew my mind even before I knew who she was…I’m still particularly fond of her. She’s followed closely by Nienna and Ulmo.
5. Elves, Men, or Dwarves?Elves. Let’s be real, for me the answer is always elves, no matter what the context is.
8. OTP?Even though I’m not really a big Tolkien shipper, I recently realized that I couldn’t deny anymore how into Russingon I was 8D I really love their relationship as platonic, but let’s just say that if it doesn’t stop there I’M CERTAINLY NOT BOTHERED. There are some other couples that I like a lot, but I wouldn’t say I actively ship them.
9. What Age of Arda would you like to live in?Probably in Valinor during the Years of the Trees? I wouldn’t love the Silmarillion so much if it had been drama and tragedy free, but I would still like to live as peacefully as possible, and among elves and being able to study and doing arts and stuff with them seems like a nice idea 8D but then again, it’s a bit secluded…where are the other races…I DON’T KNOW MAN this is hard, I’d rather avoid war so that makes it difficult.
10. What region of Middle-earth would you like to explore?Never thought about this very much, but I’m gonna go with Ossiriand. All those rivers, you know. Forests. In Middle-earth I generally want to avoid mountain regions if I can, but…
11. What kingdom would you want to live in?…Gondolin all the way. Even just the structure fascinates me, I have a thing for circular cities.
13. Would you want The Silmarillion to be made into a film or tv series?Weeeell, hard to say. I would absolutely love to see more of the Silmarillion and I’m not opposed at all to the idea, but I think it would be very hard to please me…I loved the Lord of the Rings movies, but I confess I wasn’t that fond of the Hobbit trilogy. And I have much stronger feelings for the Silmarillion, so it would be pretty much unavoidable to let me down in some ways…but I’d still be willing to take the risk.
19. You get to save one character from dying. What would they do instead?ONLY ONE IS NOT ENOUGH. I don’t know, though…even without dying, it seems very hard for any of them to just live happily how I wish they could “8D
21. Would you have followed Fëanor from Valinor to Middle-earth?Probably not. I’m not daring at all and really not easily convinced to leave everything behind…I cling way too much to the certainties I’ve got.
25. You get to have a conversation with J.R.R. Tolkien. What would you want to talk about?I WANT TO KNOW EVERYTHING.
