Nombongo - Motions Album

Having know the musician for some years I was tasked with creating graphics for her album "Motions". The idea was to use her photos following the conventional route of all the music album creative out there. And what you see is what was later created. A simple and yet visually attractive cover. For contunuaty purposes the dics creative carried on the same design that is used on for the cover.

I mean, this guy has been designing not just my sleeves and logos for a minute, but majorly for artists, co-orporates and etc.

These are explanations for some of the designs he did for me!

Siamese Entertainment Rebranding to The Band Academy

Brief: Create a new logo the the company "The Band Academy". The Band Academy derives from Siamese Entertainment. Interpretation: Since well I created the initial Siamese Entertainment Logo I  saw it fit that we stick to the same colours as the old brand but create something that is "Academy" like. And use some of the elements from the Siamese Entertainment Logo. The reason for this was, as much as the company has changed the people behind it were still the same. Music About Her - Album cover concept design work

This was one of those projects where you are given then freedom to come up with what ever you want. And as a designer i really enjoyed working on this. The artwork itself is not completed. So whats the point you ask. Let me share with you my design process to the point where we are at right now. This is a typical tutorial style kind of design. As some of the elements on there are straight out from a tutorial. Reason was to try to achieve realism. To create a real but fantacy world. Phase 1: Detail is super important when you want people to start believeing in to your world of make belief. the burning building at the back, the bridge thats falling apart and the cracked road. Phase 2: To add on to the road to create more drama now the road is too is coming apart. I thought od adding people there as well but i turned against it. I guess its became too much for my liking. Phase 3:  A shipwreck adds more drama on the scene. Phase 4: Now for the real action. Fire balls are added. That would explain why there is just random fires all over the show. Phase 5 & 6: Near completion adding more fire balls and colour change to the background image to compliment the fantacy scene and the job is done.
