Maybe she should have called and texted two weeks ago and maybe she should have made more of an effort instead of hiding away, terrified and uncomfortable with what the future meant to them.

But now Darcy’s banging on Dante’s door, anxiety spilling acid in her gut.

18. Wrist

Living with someone when you’d been living alone for years is hard. Even with Dante behaving as well as he can and picking up after himself and generally trying his hardest not to be a nuisance, when someone’s crashing on the couch for weeks -- its hard.

There are things of his around her apartment, and places where she should be alone but he is just behind her.

One such incident occurs, her feet misplaced under her and her head soaring backwards and Darcy braces for the impact, sucks in a breath hard for an impact that never comes.

Instead, Dante’s arm finds its way around her waist, his fingers wrapped around her wrist and he sets her upright, grinning that lopsided grin of his that does not develop she’s certain, for years.

Darcy’s hand bends as best it can with his grip still around the bones of her wrist, taking hold of his hand and lifting.

The inside of his wrist is soft against her lips, smooth skin untouched by his battles and she murmurs a soft thanks against it, careful not to give into the urge to nibble.

my opinion on;

character in general: Dante is such a wonderful character. I adore him ever so much. He cares so much about his family and for honestly everyone around him. He’s just a sweetheart. how they play them: This Dante though. OMG. Zach care so much about the character. The fact that he puts so much time into each and every thing about him is so admirable. the mun: He’s awesome. He’s been nothing but sweet to me since we started rping. He’s let me read some of his original work and listen to his band and he’s so talented. Good lord.

overall opinion: The first person to get me to actually ship a non canon ship with Crys. Also a sweetheart. ALSO NIC IS AMAZING. HER DARCY IS SO GOOD AND I HAVE LOVED HER FROM A FAR. OKAY BYE!

Dante Pertuz has died.

To her, Dante was young. In truth, he was only a year and a half younger then her. When it came to the life of heroes and teams, he was brand new. Unlike her, who was dragged into this life when she was a teenager. There was so much he could have done with his life still.

“Are ye sure?” She asked the giant bull-like man who had stopped by to tell her the news. Ignore the fact that an Inhuman came all the way to Mutant Town, it was the fact that she was told at all. Dante kept her out of his Inhuman life, as she kept him out of her X-Factor life. They were also just friends, with a few benefits on the side. They weren’t that serious, were they? Serious enough that the Inhuman Gorgon, who was apparently a royal to his people, to tell her.

The loss of her friend ate away at her for days until his funeral. He was dead. Not missing, vanished, or faking his enemies. As she approached the casket, which was opened as most of his wounds were covered by the suit, she smiled. “Ye goof. Why’d you have to get yerself killed?” Her voice was barely above a whisper, and her hand shook as it moved to touch his cheek. Before her skin could make contact with his, she could feel the cold aura around him.

“I heard ye wanted me to sing today, but i don’t know if I can. You were the one who got me to sing again. If it weren’t for you, I probably wouldn’t have actually gone to a karaoke night. For you, I guess I can sing a song of parting.” As she turned to leave, wiping the tears from her eyes, she whipped back around. “If ye come back to life, I’m goin’ to kick yer ass.”
