mountain meadow: do you like taking care of others, or do you prefer being care of?

i tend to prefer taking care of others, helping the people i care about and stuff, not so they’ll “pay me back” or anything, but because i love them and want to make things easier when i can. i don’t feel like other people take care of me (though certainly they care for me!), i guess i just don’t have that dynamic. add to the fact that being vulnerable has been harder and harder for me lately and it’s not in the picture at all, for better or worse.

periwinkle: what’s something ordinary that has personal meaning to you?

i have a soft gray scarf with owls all over it, i wrap it around my shoulders like a shawl or cover my ears with it when i’m overwhelmed and it’s very comforting to me. the combination of the bird designs and the texture and the tassels make me feel kind of magical and in-control, which is nice.
