Ling Chao - filled with you and i
i’m sorry that it’s been a long time since i posted something !! first i had midterms, then i had a big writers block. i’ve been trying to write different things to get out of my writers block so i have a few wips. i hope i can finish them as well as i did with this one!! tbh, i thought i wouldn’t like it as much but i think i do !! i hope you enjoy it too!!
word count: +1.8k (1.843)
—”I’m still hungry so I’m gonna go get something else, I’ll be right back!” —Ling Chao said as he got up from his seat to go buy something to eat, but you stopped him before he could leave.
—”Wait! Buy something for me too? Maybe something sweet.” —He nodded and you handed him some money. Then, he left towards the cafeteria.
You two had a little more than an hour free before your next class, so on days like this both of you would sit under one of the big trees decorating your campus, resting your backs on the trunk of one of the biggest ones that faced the big garden that some of the botany biology majors and others took care of. Spring was already around the corner so the different plants growing and the flowers blossoming were great inspirations but also could be great models for art majors like you two.
After finishing the quick sketch you had been doing, you smiled proudly at the result. Definitely, practice had its rewards and you were definitely seeing them on the realism of the flowers you had drawn and the person you drew holding them. Suddenly curiosity took the best of you and you glanced over at the sketchbook Ling Chao had left behind before he went to the cafeteria with the silent promise that you’d take care of it while he was away, although he’d only take around five minutes if there wasn’t a lot of people there.
He had closed it before leaving, so although you were really curious, you debated over if you should take a sneak peek at what’s inside. Most artists didn’t like people looking through their sketchbooks without permission. Some didn’t like people looking at them while they used them. Both you and Ling Chao fit into both categories, but even nowadays, as close as you two were, you never looked at what each other was drawing.
And for that same reason, maybe he would get a little mad if you looked at it, right? You decided that you wouldn’t even look through everything, but instead go to the page he had been using. It would only take a second, so he probably wouldn’t even know. Once he returned and went back to what he was doing, you could simply compensate the guilt of seeing his art without his permission with looking over his drawing and, trying your best to sound like you totally hadn’t seen it before, say ‘oh! that looks really nice!’ and that’s it. Nothing wrong about that.
You opened the sketchbook around the last few pages instead of the first ones, because as you had planned you weren’t going to look at any of his finished works or sketches without permission, you would try to find the last page he had been using right away.
And when you did… You were shocked, to say the least.
hello ^^ can i please have 93 + 125 with ziyang? thanks a lot 😊
93. “You didn’t just wake me up at 2am because you were ‘in the mood’.”125. “Quit moving, I’m trying to sleep. Wait…are you…what?!”
You woke up in the middle of the night, dripping. There was sweat coating your forehead and a slick stickiness between your legs. Your heightened senses caught onto the comforting, and now even more so, intoxicating, scent beside you.
Your hands curled and you dug your nails into your palm, hoping the pain would help you at least stay focused. Droplets of sweat coursed down your body and you shifted uncomfortably. The moon was shining dimly through your window and for the first time in your life, you dreaded the choices you made.
In the last nine months of your relationship, you had done a remarkable job hiding who you really were from your boyfriend. But now it seems inevitable. You had been adamant about not moving in with him, but as time went on, he stayed over more and more. Now, when your body was falling into its most primitive cycle, you felt weak and scared.
The painful throbbing between your legs reminded you of your previous predicament and when Ziyang moved, the little breeze caused his scent to envelope around you. You clapped a hand over your mouth to muffle your moan.
Carefully, you snuck your hand under the comforter, past your shorts. You winced at how soaked your underwear was and the slick musk of your arousal was sharp to your sensitive nostrils. Your legs widened slightly to accommodate your fingers and almost immediately, you felt both a sigh of relief and the twinge of dissatisfaction.
You closed your eyes and tried to picture Ziyang on top of you. Your hormones allowed your imagination to run away from you and soon you were losing control.
There was an annoyed cluck of the tongue from next to you. “Hey,” your boyfriend mumbled groggily. ““Quit moving, I’m trying to sleep. Wait…are you…what?!” It took him less than a minute to realize the movements you had been trying to minimize.
He propped his lanky body onto an elbow and your face flushed but you couldn’t stop your fingers. You had now stuck three inside of you and you were panting, desperate for release, but also knowing that without anything truly filling you, you would only be left with the wild itch that burned below your skin.
“Baby, please,” you begged. Your tongue licked your lips and you gazed at him imploringly.
Ziyang squinted slightly as he tried to focus on you with only the moonbeam helping him. “Sweetheart, you know I’m exhausted.” His eyes drifted to the clock and back to you.
By now you wanted to cry. Fear and the need to be comforted (and touched) by your mate was tugging at you and you fell apart at the seams. You pulled your hand away from you and grabbed tissues, cleaning at them and crying as you did so.
This reaction alarmed him and he reached out to touch your shoulder. You nearly melted. His body heat was radiating off and you wanted to be filled by him.
“What’s going on? You didn’t just wake me up at 2am because you were ‘in the mood’.” He was too perspective and had gotten to the core of the issue.
The truth was on the tip of your tongue but you also didn’t know how he would react. It wasn’t your fault you had imprinted on a human, but it was your fault for being cowardly enough to keep it from him for all these nine months.
His arms wrapped around you and you felt another gush of desire slip from you as you let out a moan, so filled with primal desire and need that you knew if you didn’t tell him, he’d think you were crazy.
“There’s something I need to tell you.”
His lips were ghosting on your shoulders now and even though his heart beat was steady against your back, you found yourself unable to calm down.
“What is it?”
Your mouth was dry but the hormones raging inside you made an instinctual decision. He was your mate, and bound to find out. If he rejected you, well, it would be your bad luck and demise.
“Ziyang, I’m… not exactly human.”
He paused and you picked up on the change in his breathing. You also felt that he was now giving off cautious vibes. “Explain.”
Damn these hormones. You wanted to cry again. “I’m a werewolf, and you’re my mate.”
The moment you said those words, however, he did not push you away. Instead, his entire being seemed to relax and he held you tighter. “That explains so much.”
“What?”
“When I’m around you, I feel a physical magnetic pull, and I know that it’s because I love you but it felt like something more, something beyond just emotional affection. And I’ve noticed your behavior changes over the pattern of a month and we never see each other the week of full moons.”
You leaned your head on his shoulders. Ziyang placed a kiss on the top of your head and turned you to face him. “Are you in heat, is that what’s wrong?” He put it so plainly and so matter-of-factly that you felt embarrassed.
You kept your head down, refusing to look at him as you nodded affirmative. “Look at me.”
When you mustered up the courage, you saw him smirking slightly. “Sweetheart, then let’s fix it. It’ll make you feel better, wouldn’t it?” You nodded and he cupped your head as he placed a kiss on your lips. Relief flooded your veins as you realized that you had been accepted, and when his fingers pulled at the hem of your shirt, you knew that you were in good hands.
Sorry for taking so so long. But I’m done with finals, went back for break and am back for second semester. I’m finding more time to write. It would be really appreciated if people left feedback! I have never written a werewolf au so if this is something people want to see more of, once these drabbles are done, I’ll start posting long scenarios again~
Fantasy Fest Series: Demon of Mine || Bu Fan [Demon!AU]
Credit to @buyuefan for the gif, which sparked inspiration for this fic!
Title: Demon of Mine Pairing: Reader x Bufan Genre: Witch!AU + Demon!AU + fluff Word Count: 2,202 words Summary: Magic can be tricky, especially when you accidentally summon a demon into your home.
A/N: My first fic in the Fantasy Fest series! At the time of me writing up this fic, demon!au is currently in the lead in the poll. Who else better to play the role of a demon that Bufan himself? Also, a disclaimer: everything is pretty much more or less fictional. I made up a few things as far as summoning demons go and I also didn’t want anyone to get any ideas, lol. Everything is under the cut because this is the longest fic i’ve ever written I think, oof. Enjoy demon!Bufan!
Warning: mild cursing, brief mention of blood
jealous
mu ziyang ( oner )
summary: a little prank on your boyfriend courtesy of both you and his friends goes very wrong.
genre: fluff, kinda angsty ig
word count: 1,406
Ziyang had never been the jealous type.
Really, he wasn’t. He never got mad at you hanging out with other boys, people complimenting you and wasn’t really bothered by men looking at you so long as you weren’t uncomfortable. He knew you loved him and him only, so there was no need for jealousy. That was what he had told you, anyway.
So you had always thought that Ziyang simply wasn’t the jealous type; which made it all the more confusing when his friends tried to convince you otherwise.
Ziyang had invited you to spend a day out with him and the boys because they wanted to see you since it had been a while. You’d all gone out for lunch and the second Ziyang had excused himself to the bathroom, the boys had jumped down your throat asking questions about the relationship that Ziyang was fairly private about.
Bedtime Cuddles - Mu Ziyang
(A/N: Hello ^^ This is for the sweet anon who requested a Mu Ziyang scenario!! I’m sorry this isn’t that long, but it seemed like a good place to end off haha even though it turned out more like a drabble :)) I hope you enjoy it~ <33)

2.36am
The light of the digital clock that sat on your nightstand glared at you. Tossing over again, you sighed. It did nothing more than mock you as the minutes crept by. Counting sheep, burning essential oils, meditating - heck, even pressing on some pressure point that was supposed to help your body fall asleep - none of it seemed to work. After a long day at work, you wanted nothing more than to fall into a deep, peaceful slumber; but as rest continued to remain just out of your grasp, hours seemed to blend together into a mix of rearranging pillows and trying to find a comfortable position.
‘Maybe I just need some water or something,’ you thought to yourself. If sleep didn’t want to come to you, then you might as well do something productive with your time, right? There wasn’t really a point in lying in bed for even longer if you weren’t going to be able to fall asleep.
Walking out of your room and into your kitchen, you startled at the sight of your boyfriend hunched over at the table. It was rare that he would muster up the strength to come home after a long night of practicing instead of opting to crash at the dorms, which were only a stone’s throw away from the company. Pressing a peck to his cheek as you grabbed a glass and started filling it up with water, a soft smile spread across your features when you felt a pair of arms circle around your waist.
“Why are you still up, princess?” the husky voice of your boyfriend, Mu Ziyang, said as he cuddled up behind you. You hummed in contentment as he nuzzled his nose into your hair, “Couldn’t sleep and figured I’d get a sip of water. What are you doing up this late?” Taking a gulp from your glass, you sighed in relief as it hydrated your parched throat. Yeah, you had definitely needed some water. Maybe you would even be able to get to bed now.
“I was just looking over some lyrics. Promise that I was also planning on passing out soon,” he answered, leaning over and capturing your lips in a gentle kiss, “Since you have your water, do you want to come back to bed with me? I’m exhausted.”
You nodded, finishing your glass of water and chuckling softly as Ziyang stifled a yawn. How cute. Grabbing your boyfriend’s hand in your smaller one, you led him back to your shared bedroom and into bed. Readjusting the pillows for what would hopefully be the last time that night, you snuggled into the warmth of his much taller frame. The comfort you felt in his arms was unparalleled, and you knew it wouldn’t be long before your eyes started to droop shut.
“Go to bed, sweetheart, I’ll be here when you wake up,” Ziyang mumbled, lightly kissing the top of your head. As you were surrounded in the comfort of his embrace, simply revelling in the feeling of his love - you finally started to doze off into a peaceful dreamland.

⇠┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅༻❁༺┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅⇢
There it goes again.
The same laughter and voice you’ve been hearing for the past 5 years. The same few people you’ve been seeing, but not once have you seen a reflection of their face.
What a bummer.
Today, they’re sitting at a crossroad. You can’t help but wonder what it is they’re about to do. After all, not everyone just sits at the crossroad like nobody’s business.
So there they are, sitting there, holding onto something, a microphone stand in front of them. A performer, perhaps? Your suspicion is proven correct as you hear the guitar chords being played on their guitar. You anticipate they’re voice since it has grown to be one of your most favourite sounds in the world. The way it flows so smoothly has got you swooning.
While enjoying the melody of their voice, you can’t help but notice that the surroundings look awfully familiar. Have you been to this particular place before? Mentally, you curse yourself for not being able to recall any details of the area. You were dying to meet your soulmate, but these dreams were not helping.
A particular part of the lyrics stands out to you a lot.
Actually, I am not a bad guy. (其实我不是 bad guy)
Meeting you is an accident(遇见你是意外)
Such subtle lyrics have so much meaning, don’t you think? You personally believe that your soulmate wouldn’t possibly be a bad guy. Who, with such a nice voice and laugh, could possibly be a bad person? You’ve heard of stories where someone’s soulmate turns out to be really bad and everything just goes wrong for that person, so you’re glad that you’re staying out of the unlucky range.
You finally notice that he has stopped singing. You watch as your point of view rises and that hand that you have seen countless times in your dreams reaching for the microphone.
“Thanks for stopping by to listen to me sing, ah, thanks for the support. My name is-”
That’s it. You were finally going to learn his name.
“Yu-”
You jolt awake, sitting upright in your bed, your hair no doubt an absolute mess. A groan escapes your lips as you ruffle your hair in frustration, making it messier than it already was. Each time you had this sort of dream, you always had to wake up when you were just that close to finding out who your soulmate was. This happened so frequently to a point where you were starting to think that fate didn't want you to find out who your soulmate was. So that you could stay single forever.
Still grumpy at the fact that your dream had been interrupted, you drag yourself off the bed to get ready for the day ahead of you. To you, your work had the most precedence in your mind.
You're rushing down the street to get to your workplace. Soulmate dreams start and end whenever they please, and there was absolutely no way to wake anyone up in the middle of one. Because of this, you woke up a tad bit too late for your taste and were going to be late for work.
In your rush, you bump into someone carrying a guitar on their back.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry," you mumble as you take off towards the direction of your workplace without bothering to take a look at the face of the person you bumped into. You had a place to be at, and stopping to look at someone would just slow you down. At that exact same moment, your phone rings. You groan silently as you fish the phone out of your pocket. A voice barks at you on the other end.
"y/n! Where are you? The meeting with the Director starts in 10 minutes and you've yet to show up in my office! Do you still want your job or not?"
You roll your eyes. "Sorry, I overslept. I'll be there in 5 minutes, with your cup of coffee. Sorry."
"You'd better. The next time this happens, you can kiss your job goodbye."
-
You're walking down the street, earpieces in your ears, heading towards some unknown location. Everything looks higher for some reason, and why is that? You enter a cafe and the cashier gives you a friendly greeting, "Oh hey, Yue! Your usual again?"
Oh right, you're dreaming. No wonder the perspective seems a little off.
"That's right. Give it a little extra kick than usual though, I... didn't sleep much last night," you heard your favourite raspy voice answer.
"And why's that so? Stayed up late writing songs? Watching too many dramas?"
Your soulmate laughs while shaking their head. "No, definitely not. You know me, I'm not like that. It's just... Something's been bothering me lately. I just think too much, don't you think so?"
The cashier guy shrugs. "I guess everyone has that point in their lives where they think too much. Relax, Yue. Whatever's bothering you, I'm sure you'll solve it soon. Or it'll blow over. Whichever comes first," he says as he turns around to start preparing the drink.
"Yue" starts to look around the cafe while idly tapping away at the counter, his fingers drumming along the oak finishing. They observe the customers, who range from couples to working adults to students. Cafes seem to be a popular date location for couples nowadays, huh.
"Here's your coffee, Yue," the cashier guy returns, placing the cup of coffee on the counter. "Yue" grabs the coffee and is about to leave when he adds,"By the way, Ziyang is asking if you'll play here today. Y'know, like you usually do? In your usual spot? Not by the traffic lights, of course."
"Yue" hums as they take a sip of their coffee. "Well, I guess it depends on my mood today. It also depends on how much Ziyang is willing to pay me for this gig. My services don't come free, you know. And he owes me way too many favours."
"So that's a maybe, then?" The cashier guy asks, a tinge of hopefulness hidden in his voice. "Yue" nods. "Alright, I'll let the boss know."
"Yue" waves as he exits the place. You manage to catch a glimpse of the name of the cafe. The sign reads "Espresso Yourself".
Everything goes black.
You sit up on your bed as you review the contents of the dream. For once, the dream actually proved to be useful, since you finally got a clue on who your soulmate might be. You hurry to scribble down the name of the cafe that your soulmate frequents before you started to forget what it was.
You had heard about that cafe before and had seen many photos of it on Instagram. It had recently opened a couple of blocks away from your apartment building and was one of the most talked about cafes around. It was a place for anyone to "express themselves", hence the name. Street musicians or bands were often invited to play and sing in the space in the cafe. It's a quaint place - everyone loved it.
Your first thought is to visit the cafe to find out the name of your mysterious performer soulmate "Yue". So much information is presented to you at once - your soulmate's nickname, which cafe they frequent, where they usually perform, heck finding out who they are would be a piece of cake. However, a small part of you still uncertain. Were you ready to find out who they were? To meet them? Were you ready for a relationship at all? What if your soulmate didn't even like you?
Although it is barely before the crack of dawn, your burning queries had to be solved, so you call up your friend who, ever so conveniently, had found his soulmate way before you did. The tone went off at least 5 times before he picked up.
"You better have a good reason for calling me this early in the morning, y/n," a familiar tired out voice speaks from the other side of the call.
"Good morning to you too, Mubo. Isn't it just lovely this morning?"
You hear bitter laughter. "y/n, it's 5am. This morning isn't lovely. If anything, I think you're trying to ask me for a favour."
"I mean, you're not right, but you're not entirely wrong either," you state, fiddling with the hem of your shirt. "More like I need your advice for my ever so colourful love life."
"Darling, your love life is anything but colourful."
You roll your eyes as you flop back onto the bed. "Well no shit, I was being sarcastic, mind you. You, on the other end, seem to be enjoying your colourful love life to the fullest."
Mubo chuckles,"Why yes, of course, I have. Why would I waste having such a wonderful boyfriend?"
A year prior, Mubo had searched for his soulmate endlessly (who yes, turned out to be a guy), and his search did not end in vain. He did find his other half, and the two are living their best gay lives together. Personally, you thought that Qin Fen, Mubo's boyfriend, is a way better friend than Mubo could ever be. At least he didn't try to be snarky towards you 90% of the time.
"I didn't call you to talk about your boyfriend, no matter how much more wonderful he is compared to you," you reply. "I'll go straight to the point. I had one of those soulmate dreams just now and I finally got a clue on who my soulmate could be. I just... need advice on how to approach them. I don't want to seem too eager, or too desperate. What if they don't even want to date? Or if they're not interested in girls???" As you started to list the various worries you were having, more questions started to appear in your mind."
"Oh my gosh, y/n, you need to relax. Make a cup of tea or something, but you need to calm down." Sometimes, underneath all that sarcasm and slight shade throwing, you forget that Mubo could be such a mom. "Listen, darling, meeting your soulmate is easier than you think. Just be natural, and most importantly, be yourself. If they can't like you for who you are, then leave. If they're not interested in you, that's fine. There's plenty of fishes in the sea."
"But-"
"Look, y/n. You're a great person, and your soulmate would be an idiot to be unable to see that. Also, you're not getting any younger, and I'm pretty sure the same goes for your soulmate. If you lose this prime period, you're probably going to be single forever. And I don't wish to see my good friend end up at the club on singles night. No thanks."
A small smile tugs at the corner of your lips. "Aw, Mubo, I think that's the sweetest thing you've ever said to me."
"Oh shut up."
You laugh,"But jokes aside, thanks a lot. I think that your advice was just what I needed." You hear a rustle from the other end of the phone, as well as someone murmuring. You guess that Qin Fen had just woken up.
"Oh, Qin Fen's awake. I guess this is my cue to hang up. Update me on your progress, okay?"
"Sure thing. Thanks again, Mubo."
"Is that y/n?" you hear Qin Fen ask.
Mubo laughs,"Yes. Bye, y/n!"
Silence fills your apartment as the line goes dead. You imagine Qin Fen and Mubo just cuddling each other, even though it is the dead of the night. While you, on the other hand, will sit on your bed, contemplating your life choices and how lonely you are despite your age. How unfortunate. Such is the singles life.
You crawl back into bed and try to sleep off your worries for the upcoming day.
-
You push open the glass door of the cafe and the first thing that hits your nose is the strong aroma of coffee. The interior of the place gives off warm and cosy vibes - from the ivory-coloured walls to the wooden furnishing to the fairy lights that decorate the place - show just how much effort the owner must have put in. You were in love with nearly everything in it.
As you approach the counter, you recognise the teen standing behind it. He was the exact same guy who appeared in your dream but most importantly, he was also the one who seemed to know who your soulmate was. You join the queue and wait patiently for your turn. In the meantime, you look around the cafe and notice that photo frames were hung on the walls. You make a mental note to check out the photographs later on.
"Hello, can I take your order please?" the teen asks, flashing you a smile.
You return the smile and scan the drinks list briefly. Biting your lip, you point at one of the items. "I think I'll just get a caramel macchiato. With extra caramel, if possible?"
He chuckles, noting down your order before passing it on to another employee behind the counter. "You sure like your drinks sweet, huh," he remarks as you move to the side. You shake your head.
"I guess you could put it that way. But one day I'll get diabetes from this habit, just you wait."
You finally get a glimpse of his nametag as he smiles at your joke. "Yeah, I'm sure you will," Ling Chao says.
As he goes on to attend to the next customer in line, you contemplate on whether or not you should ask him about your soulmate. After all, it wasn't too late to back out from your search yet. You look around nervously, but a buzz from your pocket snaps you out of your thoughts. You receive a text from Mubo.
[please ignore the timestamps! they’re a bit whacked up. also, the ‘he’ in the text msg refers to you asking ling chao abt ‘yue’, not you asking ‘yue’ abt the soulmate thing.]
"y/n!" Ling Chao calls out your name, that cheeky grin forever on his face. As you reach over to grab the cup from his hands, you steel yourself to ask him your most dreaded question.
"Hey, Ling Chao, right? Right. Um, by chance, do you know anyone who goes by the name of Yue?"
You watch as recognition cross his face. He nods slowly. "Oh, you mean Lao Yue? Yeah, I know him. And why do you ask?"
"Ahahaha, no reason," you laugh nervously, sweat slowly dripping down your brow. Why was it so hot all of a sudden? "I just erh, wanted to know if he would be performing today?"
Suddenly, Ling Chao claps sharply. "Ah, so you're one of his fans," he guesses, the cheeky grin growing wider. "I don't think he's coming down here today. You can try coming back tomorrow evening though. Ziyang has him booked as tomorrow's performer."
You let out the breath that you were unintentionally holding. In order to hide your nervousness, you pretend to laugh lightly. "Ah, I see. Thanks then! I'll be sure to drop by tomorrow evening."
As you start to leave, Ling Chao winks at you. "I'll be sure to let Ge know that you'll be expecting him." A blush creeps onto your cheeks as he says that, and you try your best to hide it from him. Nothing escapes his keen eye though.
You hear Ling Chao's fleeting laughter as you hurry to leave the cafe.
On your way home, you decide to update Mubo on the progress of your mission for love.
author’s note : how are you finding pt 1? i hope its ok, i spent a really long time trying to get this right :( small clarification - i used the pronoun “they” for yue at first because i feel that before you get to know what exactly is someone’s gender, you shouldn’t assume so therefore use the word they. hope no one’s confused? pt 2 is coming soon!
