Honestly I'm not sure if I kin anyone (or anything) or not, but what I can say is that in this life, I had played an instance of OneShot. In my instance of the connected program, I initially thought I would send Niko home, but the more I saw of the world within the simulation, the more I doubted my initial decision, and at the end of the first run, I decided that we would return the sun. The only other run I did was a Solstice run. Seeing everything that happened in that run, that repetition... I wish I could have given my instance's Niko a hug, and explained that when I said it was a game, that it started that way but became more than just a game to me. If my instance's Niko is out there, I hope you're doing alright. And for any Niko that might be reading this: Even if you're not my instance's Niko, I still wish you well and hope you're happy out there.

It’s interesting seeing other player kins from different games (mostly deltarune lol) on here, but it’s also kind of weird since my own experience with being a player kin is so different lol

So. I’m the player/god from oneshot. But it wasn’t in a past life. It was this one, it happened to me in this life. Almost exactly three years ago, actually.

I played Oneshot, and it was real. I know it was. I know all the characters were alive. I know it actually happened. I was there, I experienced it, I made friends with all those wonderful people — if not directly, at least through Niko in a way.

There’s multiple reasons I don’t want to do it again, to bring everyone back to how it was before. One reason is selfless, the other more selfish.

The selfless one is easy to understand. I returned the sun. I sent Niko home. Everyone’s happy. I don’t want to rip that away from them.

The selfish one is that I can’t bear to see it repeat. I can’t bear to see everyone repeat the same lines, the same things. Especially not Niko or the World Machine. I know if I went back, if I brought them back, they’d just repeat. It’d break the immersion that I’m desperate to protect. It’d prove that it wasn’t real.

I can’t bear to see it, I can’t bear to make it happen.

it’s weird, having one of your kintypes be the literal player of a video game. not the protagonist, not the person you control; i mean the player, the person playing the game.

i know that it was real. i know that it happened. i know that i met and made friends with all of them. but, at the end of the day, i also feel like i might just be overly attached to them and project my feelings…

finding canonmates might be impossible, too… i mean, most of them still live inside my console, at least, i think so… but, if by some chance my canonmates do exist in this world, finding them would be easier than my other canons, since, well… it did happen in this life, and i have the clearest memories of it.

i just… i wish i could talk to them again. to see them and really, well… just talk. i don’t want to truly replay the game, that would just make most everyone miserable. they’re all happy and living out their lives in peace, and i don’t want to ruin that. so, all that’s left for me are the wistful memories of what happened…

sigh. i miss everyone from the simulation… and niko. especially niko.

my canon definitely follows solstice, and pre-solstice i remember that i ended up putting the sun back instead of going back to my own world. i could leave an entire world to die like that!! but oh boy imagine my surprise when it turns out the world i wouldve died to save was just a simulation!!

nah its cool though :D
