Like many young students, Ghislaine Aballe was timid when she first arrived at STI College-Ormoc, but over her years of study at a place she considered her second home, her personality was allowed to bloom and she was encouraged to discover her strengths and weaknesses. So, by the time she graduated, she was ready to face the challenges of the real world! The STI Student Development and Welfare Group researches on the needs of different industries, and they affirmed that most companies look for employees who are not just skilled and knowledgeable, but also possess the right character. On top of the list are traits, such as confidence and a drive for excellence. That is why STI is also committed to developing our students' character and the professionalism necessary to thrive in different industries. We, likewise, try to remind our students to not just reach the proverbial bar, but to set it—and set it high! This drive for excellence is perfectly captured in the opening line of our school hymn: "Aim High with STI!"
