A Kārearea (NZ Falcon) sitting up a Kōtukutuku (Tree Fuchsia) on a cold winter day in Otago.
I am thinking of doing prints, is that something anyone would want?

@onichophora replied to your post “new year, new food crime”:
You should try Brawn. It is the left over bits of a pig boiled with a few veges and loads of herbs etc so it creates its own aspic, you pull out the meat, chop it into little bits, and then put it and the liquid aspic into a pan, let it cool, slice up, and eat. You often have it on bread and with condiments. Tasty and thrifty
oh we call that "head cheese" here!
I've heard of it, but I've never tried it. but after this aspic experiment went so well, maybe I should!
Not a question, but a thank you for your comments on the outfits from the Oscars. It gives me life
I wish people would give me comments on AO3 but I have fun making fun of celebrities.
If the Oscars fuck up again and actively choose white male mediocrity over PoC & female excellence next year, I won’t cover the red carpet, but I sincerely hope it doesn’t come to that, because it will hurt not to.
Jewelled Gecko (Naultinus gemmeus), endemic to the southern half of the South Island. This particular individual was kept in a display at the Otago Museum, this female, I'm guessing as she has the "jewels" that males don't usually have, came up to the glass when I wiggled my finger at her.
Mangawhai Beach, New Zealand, near the surf club.
A crop of the WIP I have going for my friend, featuring the dragon.
It's getting there, hopefully I can finish it soon. I'm painting in bursts as the work needs to be flat (watermedia/colour/ink) and I can't sit on a chair or stand for long as my back is still giving me grief :/ don't rupture a disk kids. But I can get quite a bit done, just not in a long session.
time to get on a bandwagon. in my defense i have not real clue as how to reconstruct whale anatomy, im just guessing based on extant whales and a hate of some of the weird images out there. i also dont know anything about basilosaurus but as i looked it looked a bit like to me like some of them beaked whales and they suction feed so?
also basilosaurus is one of those wild names where im like come on lets just change that, i get it, naming conventions blah blah, but basilocetus maybe instead?
Tyrannosaurus rex
I've been suffering mad art block for maybe a year now, been tired and overwhelmed by my job. It had been suckling the life out of me. Then I got a back injury back in February, and so I've been off work since. I'm about to start going back soon...
Anyway, I used to make cards as a little thing for people's birthdays and stuff. And so I went out and got some supplies and I'm making some cards now ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
