Say there is someone in an online friend group who the moderators find they behave disrespectfully outside of the group and they decide to ban them. You've interacted with them a couple time. On your side, it's simple discussions more out of politeness than anything, they're in the friend group but not your friend as much as others are. But you get the feeling they think of you as a close friend, though they haven't shown they could read social cues, or otherwise, they did misunderstand them quite a few times.

After the ban, they dm you to continue discussing, but the rest of the friend group doesn't know. What would you do?
