In order to make sure that my blog continues to grow in the different followers that it has, I am going to need to work on the different content that I plan on writing for different followers to read. To make this work, I am going to have to do research on different lifestyle blog topics that are currently popular with my targeted audience. The main lifestyle blogs that I will be looking at are the different blogs that I have already examined that have been stated in my ‘Local Competition’ post. In addition to looking at the different lifestyle blogs that are out there in the online blogging world, I would also take the time to look at the different topics that are popular in today’s millennial generation.
After creating the different content needed in order to bring in followers to the blog, I would take the time to first schedule each blog post once a week during the final six weeks of the course. Not only would I be taking the time to schedule each blog post on WordPress, I would also work on creating different content for the different social media channels that my blog has as well.
After taking the time to schedule each blog post and the different social media content needed for my blog, I would then go ahead and sign up for Google Ads and invest the correct funding in order to make this happen. As well, having friends that are working on their own blogs and looking for exposure in the blogging world, I would reach out to these different friends to create their own content for my blog and mention them as a featured writer/guest writer for that certain week. By giving other blog writers the opportunity to be featured on my own blog, it gives me the opportunity to work on other parts of the blog that I need to invest time into. Some parts of my blog that I would be making an effort to invest time into would be things like the online e-book that I am currently in the process of working on and also working on the layout of the blog as well.
As for licenses and permits, I believe this would be something that I would also be working at investing some time and research into. Being an online business, mainly charging followers for the cost of the e- book, I am not 100% certain on the kinds of licenses and permits that would be needed for this kind of a business, especially one like a blog. Should my online blog need any kind of licenses and/or permits, I would take the appropriate measures in making sure that my blog has the right license or permit.
As I hope to eventually branch out and ask other friends and individuals that are lifestyle bloggers, I would like it to be that I am the main person that writes for the blog, however, each week or once a month, there will be a different person writing something different to change the topic or writer’s voice so that followers do not get bored with what I have to offer followers and they will be more excited to read other people’s writing. As previously mentioned, I would be the main blogger and founder of the blog, while other lifestyle bloggers are guest writers, unless otherwise stated.
With the amount of time and effort that has already been put into my blog, I believe that I will be able to start my business and get more followers in a few days after investing the right amount of time and money needed with services like Google Ads, for example.
Overall, I would like to see my blog move in a positive direction. I would like to see a large improvement on followers and have other people interested in what topics the blog has to discuss on what is going on today. Currently, I already have a small social media following of mainly family and friends, but I would like to see more of a following from people outside of friends and family circle who are interested in the different topics that I have to write about. As well, I would say that I need to take the time and really work out the different requirements in order to make sure that I am successful on Google Ads too! Another tool that I would need to make sure that my blog is successful, I need to make the time and set up all my social media accounts for my blog on a social media posting site, like Hootsuite or Buffer. By doing this, I am making sure that my social media content is constant and relevant to make sure that my followers have something to read each day. I would also say that I need to start reaching out to other blog writers, whether they be friends or not, that would be interested in writing potential blogging pieces for the followers that I have. By doing this, as already mentioned, this would give followers the opportunity to read blogging pieces from other people and aren’t getting bored with the different content that I always talk about.
