Day 29: Witches

Another Tides Prompt, These Hedgehogs like to visit their Pirate Queen. 

(disclaimer there is some darker themes in this short but nothing too graphic) 

Sonic looked around Rouge’s study seeing the walls cluttered with leather bound books. It was an incredible collection which must have taken years to accumulate. “So you’re a sorcerer right?” Sonic asked Rouge who was reading one of her books while Shadow was reading another one.

“Correct.” Rouge said taking a sip of her tea.

“Is that like a witch?” Sonic asked.

Both Hedgehogs flinch to the sound of Rouge slamming her book shut.

Sonic looked over at Shadow who looked nervous almost contemplating if he should say anything. “Th… that’s what spell casters are called in Soleanna…” Sonic said as he hears Rouge let out a huff.

“No, Sorcerers and Witches are different types of spell casters. You’d be in a lot of trouble if I were a witch.” Rouge said as Sonic’s ears tilt confused.

“Why?”

Rouge stands up walking over to him placing the book she was reading back on the shelf. She leans in close. “Witches use body parts to cast magic.” She whispered.

“Wh…what?” Sonic’s eyes widen.

“Oh yes,” She hummed teasingly. “Mostly children and virgins. They use every piece of the body. Even devouring their flesh to keep a youthful appearance. You would be absolutely delectable to them.”

“Rouge,” Shadow snarls having enough seeing Sonic slightly cower at her words.

“Don’t worry Blue. There’s not a lot of Witches left. Their practice was banned due to their unethical methods.” Rouge said hearing Sonic let out a sigh of relief. Rouge smiles glancing back at Shadow, internally happy that Blue had brought out such a reaction from her friend.

She can’t wait to see how else this Hedgehog changes him for the better.
